(Wonderful. And the gif is from an anime called Nichijou/My Ordinary Life. I find it to be most hilarious anime I've ever seen, but that's just me. If you've ever heard of Azumanga Daioh, you could say they're similar.)

She had seen a split second of Skye's pleading look and without a second of hesitation, Anice was forced to shake the thoughts out of her head and defend herself. Worrying would do no good. As Holly stabbed Skye's shoulder, Anice used the momentum of him being knocked over to throw him down to his front side. Seeing everyone else fight, Mio joined in and jabbed Skye in the gut using the hilt of her sword in hopes of paralyzing him. They remembered what he said about being controlled and the man behind all this was his master....who ever that was.

Skye was attacked before he could respond to the four. It was his moment of hesitation that threw him off, and soon, he was on the floor. WIth Mio's jab, she had sent extra pain towards his ribcage and triggered a reflex that had sent a shock to his head to keep fighting. It was too strong, though, and he was unconscious before anyone was the wiser, a hint of gratitude in his eyes before he went down. Holly looked like she was ready to keep beating Skye while he was down, but Hailey had pulled her sister back before things got out of hand. That dark cloud was slowly dispersing, the moaning of the shadows slowly retreating as well. Mayia couldn't believe it, having heard everything stop so abruptly before having worriedly moved herself, with Hunter's help, to Syn's side.

After Skye had fallen, the shadowy dome that surrounded them began to disintegrate. Mio sighed in relief and returned the sword to the belt on her waist, still a bit cautious of what had just happened. Holly sulked while being restrained by Hailey, and glared intensely at the unconscious body. Walking over to Skye Anice bent over him to see if he was still conscious, which he wasn't; but she knew he was still alive. She squatted down next to him and waited for him to wake.

"Mayia!" Syn exclaimed, jolting awake. It took him a few seconds to realize that he was breathing, and exhaled happily to know that he was still alive. He stood up slowly, but held his head in his palm due to a mysterious headache.

Skye had been hit pretty hard after having been badly injured. He wasn't breathing, but then again, he really didn't need to, his wounds still fresh, and not the ones that these four inflicted on him. Hailey had found that Holly was calm enough not to continue to attack Skye while he was down. She looked down at them, tilting her head a bit before poking Skye with her bow. "I... don't think he's going to wake up soon... And where'd his hat go?" Hailey asked, just noticing that he wasn't wearing it. Skye would now and then moan a bit, having been able to feel that little poke. He was still really sore.

Mayia was pretty worried about Syn while Hunter decided to check up on the others, having trotted out the door. It wasn't until Hunter was away from the door that Syn jolted awake. Mayia had almost screamed at that, having restricted herself to a yelp and a jerk. She had fallen back from her knees and stared up at Syn, frightened as ever. At least she was doing better than she was when the skies were dark, though. "Y-Yes?..." She squeaked, tempted to snatch up the pillow from the bed and use that to hide herself. His sudden expressions of joy - or what looked more like fear... - weren't really doing much to help Mayia's headaches.

Syn looked over at Mayia with a confused expression. "N-Nothing....Sorry I startled you." he said, loosening up. "Are you okay? Is it all over?" He sat down on the ground with legs crossed and his back leaning against the bed frame.

Anice looked up at Hailey and then back at Skye. "His....hat?" she repeated blankly. After a few seconds of silence, she shrugged and poked Skye's face gently. He seemed to be in pain, considering he kept moaning, so she didn't bother him too much. She looked over at Mio who shrugged. "I may have hit his pressure point a little too hard, maybe?" she said. However, the two knew that it was for the best. If Mio had not knocked Skye down, who knows where they would be.

Mayia calmed a bit as Syn started to speak with a more calm tone. She nodded to him timidly before she moved closer to him, having leaned herself against his side with shivering hands on her lap. "It's over... For now..." She breathed out to him in a shaky tone, as if she had just come back from a place at the peak of the mountains to the north, having nuzzled herself against his side in her search for some warmth. She was still scared, but upon feeling better, she resulted in looking for something to calm her down.

Hunter trotted up to the small group, seeing that no one here was dead and that the only one bleeding was Skye. It seemed much safer this way, watching the small group before he had actually said anything to them. "It seems you handled this well without having to kill him. This is a first." Hunter said, Watching Skye. His hair was still black at the moment, so he seemed more normal looking, as if he were a different person, but his hair had soon reverted to its usual colour. Hunter had trotted over to Anice's side and started to poke at Skye's stomach, simply bored for now. "You hit him pretty hard. It doesn't look like he's going to wake up soon. Should we take him inside?" Hunter asked the group, having to stress his energy's limit quite a bit in order to speak to them.

(I don't remember Hunter ever talking to them before, so I'll just assume he hasn't.....)

When Skye's hair returned to its original colour, Anice sighed lightly. She hoped that he would wake up soon so that she could figure out what to do. Mio pondered a little bit before responding, ignoring the fact that the Hunter was speaking. It didn't surprise them, considering there were many other things in the world that were strange and unexplainable. "I think it's best to take him inside, but it seems the space in the cabin has been taken up."

Syn flinched at the sound of the words, 'for now'; t just meant that it wasn't over. When Mayia leaned against him, he seemed to have gotten used to it since he didn't react much. Seeing that she was still a bit faltering he sighed with a small smile on his face and began to pet her head as he usually did. "At least you're okay, right?" he said calmly.

"If you think so. The least we could do is help him a little. He is injured after all." Hunter said lowly to the group, his tail low to the ground as he looked up at the others that were around him. Skye was groaning quietly before he opened his eyes, his shoulders stiff as he laid there. He used up a lot of energy before this, and being controlled afterwards, took a lot of energy out of him. Hunter trotted right next to Mio and sat down, feeling eyes towards them from the back of the group. Something was watching him, but it was familiar. The scent gave Hunter the confirmation of what was happening. "Knight, stop watching. You would have helped them, you know. I know that you're scared and a-" Knight had stepped out, his hands in his pockets. "Shut up!" He barked, standing where he was with eyes narrowed towards his fallen brother who looked up at the others with a pained expression.

Mayia shut her eyes quietly, her shoulders stilled as she cuddled up against Syn's side. She nodded to him, enjoying his touch and leaning against his hand. He was so kind to her, and that made her smile without the thought of ever moving away. "I'm okay... Thank you..." She murmured softly to him. She would have liked that he went to fight with the others, but she never thought that he would decide to stick with her. She enjoyed that about him. "It looks like you're okay, too. That's good." She giggled softly before she lowered her head a bit, breathing shallowly. She was pretty tired, even if she hadn't been able to do much to help. The only thing that she could do was weaken that man a little before he bound her to the bed with that shadow.

With a familiar voice behind her, Mio turned around to see Knight. "Knight!" she exclaimed. She was actually a bit relieved to see him, for some odd reason, but seeing him standing there also made her a bit angry. Without another word, she turned back around and looked at Skye. When he opened his eyes, Anice smiled.....kind of. She never really smiled nor frowned, so she made her expressions with the look in her eyes. Mio walked over to the two and stood over Skye. "I think I have figured it out already, but would you mind explaining?" she asked casually.

"You know...if you're tired, then you should just relax." he said gently to Mayia. "You seem to be out of energy, take a rest." For some reason Syn felt closer to Mayia than he was with anybody, even though he had known her the least amount of time. He really wanted to take care of her and make sure she was safe.

Knight flinched at the sound of Mio's voice as it sharply barrelled at him. Why she had decided to shout his name, he couldn't guess, taking a step back so that his back was against the tree. It wasn't until Skye had woken up that Knight watched again, having moved his hands from his pockets and crossed his arms over his chest. He would have liked to hear this too, since the same thing had happened when he had destroyed his first home. Skye would have said something, but he didn't have the energy, turning his head and shutting his eyes just so that he didn't have to look at them. Hunter grumbled at that, but he understood why, seeing as Skye just did get used, led around like a puppet on a string. "He's tired. We should wait till he feels better for him to explain any of this... In the meantime, Knight. Do you know what happened to Skye's hat? You know how important it is to him." Hunter said, raising himself up on his massive paws and trotting around the group. Knight was a little embarrassed to say that he did know. He had been following Skye since he had acquired his first set of injuries from that little massacre at the field that he pulled, before two demons came and snapped him out of it.

Mayia had shut her eyes and steadied her breath, her head on Syn's shoulder. She looked as if she had fallen asleep already, but when Syn spoke, she opened her eyes and tilted her head at him. His words made her smile softly, the caring tone keeping her more calm than she had been for a while. "Thank you... Again." She giggled tiredly before she lowered her head again and curled a bit against Syn's side, shivering a bit before she had fallen asleep. It was a wonder how she was able to fall asleep so fast, although she had grown accustomed to that by now, usually wanting to get sleep out of the way.
