Dipper stared at Mabel for a second, and then shrugged, looking back at the small crowd of people. Brooke walked back towards Dipper, and sat down right next to him, which immediately caused the kid-crowd to walk away with disgusted expressions. Dipper bit his lip, staring at the ground, while Brooke simply kept silent, watching the kickball game as it restarted.

Awkward moments, they happen. ))

Mabel smiled at her brother and looked up as Brooke walked over. "Oh, hey Brooke! What's up?" she asked, grinning. "I also have another question. How long have you been going to Gravity Falls for the summer? It was Dipster and mine's first year over the summer."

Brooke looked up at her, shrugging. "One, the sky, obviously." She joked, and Dipper nervously laughed. She glanced at him for a second before looking back at Mabel. "And two...probably since I was five, I think." Brooke murmured.

Mabel smiled at Brooke's joke, and then nodded hearing her second answer. "So you've been going there for about seven years now then?" she asked curiously.

Brooke started picking at her nails, while Dipper simply stared at her. "Yep...seven years." She said simply. She didn't know what else to say; especially near Dipper. She tried to act normal around him, but on the inside, she felt like bursting into flames. If she made at least one wrong move, she'd go from popular to a random, unknown person. So from now on, she'd have to be careful. Extremely, careful.

"Oh, that's cool," Mabel said, smiling. "So... How did you find out about the monsters in Gravity Falls? And sorry for so many questions," she said, laughing softly

Brooke tensed, widening her eyes and hesitating for a second. She sighed, settling down as she stared at the ground. "I was bored, so I went outside without my parent's permission." She started. "I went into the woods, carrying my dad's axe when I saw this big, wolf-creature...it was a werewolf. So obviously, I ran back to the cabin screaming. Yet I still went out to see the monsters." Dipper was picking at the grass when he looked up at her with interest, although he was saying nothing.

Mabel smiled slightly. "Dipper and I found out about the monsters when he thought Norman was a zombie, but we found out he was just a bunch of gnomes that tried to kill us," she said, and blinked, remembering that day. "How old were you when you met the werewolf?"

"About eight or nine, I think." She murmured, tensing as the bell rang. She got up, nodding at Mabel and Dipper. "I'll see you later, Pines' twins." Brooke said, winking, and headed inside. Dipper watched her go, biting his lip like he normally did when he was either thinking or nervous.

"You were young," Mabel said impressed. She heard the bell ring and she stood up, pulling Dipper up with her. "See you later, Woods," she called back, grinning at her as she turned to Dipper, seeing him bite his lip. "Dipper. You're doing your nervous habit again."
