"Maybe there's a reason why she was bleeding. I mean, she didn't have any marks, did she?" He asked, quickly glancing up at Mabel, and then looking back down at the Journal. "No, she didn't." He quickly answered before she could speak. "So, maybe there's something in here..."

"Dip, it might just have been a coincidence!" Mabel exclaimed. "Just calm down, there is no explanation okay?" she added, and glanced down at her palm. There was a little bit of dried blood on her hand and the girl quickly brushed it off. Dipper didn't need to see that,

He wasn't even listening; he'd already found something. Dipper narrowed his eyes, and began reading, all of his attention focused on the Journal. "Okay...apparently there's a sickness in Gravity Falls that makes people bleed unusually out of nowhere. It makes them feel weak, and sometimes it can even..." He read aloud, but then he widened his eyes, gritting his teeth and slammed the Journal shut.

Mabel bit her lip, definitely not wanting to let her twin know about her palm. "Dip, Brooke'll be fine. She stuffer than Wendy! And Wendy's pretty tough..." Mabel promised.

Dipper shuddered, flopping down onto his side and rolling under his bed until he felt himself ram into the wall. "She's dying." He said flatly.

Mabel walked over to her brother and sat down next to him, putting her head on his shoulder. "Then simply do this - do everything you want to do with her before she dies. I know how much she means to you, and she can see that too. You both like each other. Just... Man up enough to ask her out, eh?"

Dipper tensed, and frowned at Mabel, quickly shoving her away. "No, Mabel." He muttered. "You know even now that...that...that asking her out...it's impossible for me."

Mabel sat up, leaning against the dresser across from Dipper. "Hey! What happened to the Dipper I knew?! He never ever gave up on anything, no matter what the cost was!" With that, Mabel stood up. Walking over to her bed, she pulled her pillow off the edge and turned to Dipper, smacking him with the pillow once. "Hang on, Dip , I'll save you from this brain-switching demon!" she yelled towards the window, then continued hitting her twin wit the pillow.

Dipper squeaked, literally, and ducked downwards to dodge the first swing. But of course, that wasn't enough. When he straightened himself up again, he'd only just realized that Mabel was still swinging. "Gah! Mabel! Stop it!"

Mabel laughed at him and chucked the pillow at Dipper's face. "I thought that would make you smile or laugh!" she exclaimed, frowning slightly as she crossed her arms. An idea popped to her head and she grinned, heading towards her closet. Grabbing her favorite happiest sweater, Mabel turned back around to Dipper and put the sweater on him. Mabel grinned and took a step back. "Please tell me you like the sweater."
