He sighed then looked up and glared at Enee. "I'm..fairly sure you dissolved her into unconnected atoms, like you said. Or my mental connection isn't strong enough, she's too far away. The first is more likely, unfortunately."

"I'm sorry." She looked at the floor. "I truly am."

[tricks]

"Is there anything you can do?" he asked quietly.

[lil28]

The Enigma shook her head. "No. I'm sorry."

[tricks]

He sighed, shoulders slumping. "Are you...are you sure?"

[lil28]

"Rather sure I'm afraid." She shrugged sadly.

"Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey there."
Animine open her eyes to a man prodding her impatiently. He had jet black hair and deep dark eyes, but seemed kind. And happy.
"God's sake, where am I?" She asked. The man smirked. "Don't know."

He sighed sadly. "So..she's gone. Forever. I didn't even say goodbye."

Enigma nodded, knowing how he must feel right now.

"How long have you been here?" She asked him.
"Months, I've lost count."

He sat down, pressing his back against the wall, and put his head on his knees. He couldn't believe it. It had hardly been half an hour since he had last seen her. He bit his lip. He didn't want to cry in front of her and make her feel worse. It wasn't the Enigma's fault...well, yes it was, but it was accidental.

The Enigma sat beside him, just beside him.

Animine and the man conversed for a while. She found out that his name was George, but was often referred to as Georgie.
"Haven't you tried to leave?"
"Obviously, but it seems impossible. There are no doors here, no walls."
