Pantera pauses as Morag pauses by a stall. He waits off to the side as Morag collects things. He watches the angel with a watchful eye, trying to hold in everything about Morag. His heart hurts at the prospect of losing Morag forever. A heavy weight sits on his shoulders. He looks up, watching a few clouds float through the air. He is startled from his thoughts as Morag begins to speak.

He steps forward, passing the stall owner some money for the items Morag has picked up. He smiles softly at the angel. "It'll be ok. We will be together," he tries to assure, but even he is unsure of their fate.

Toshiro nods. He adds a satchel to carry the books and places everything he bought inside. He does catch Ammonia glances at the toys in the stall next door. He passes the silver over before joining Ammonia. "We should get maybe 2 or 3 toys a kid. They can share, swap, or trade them around. It'll help keep them occupied when they aren't receiving lessons," he says, understanding why Ammonia would be looking at the toy stall.

She grumbles a thank you in that guarded, hard tongue, green eyes bright and happy. "And maybe a couple extra for the .... babies?" Is stated, wondering if she could find a wooden chest for the toys to be stored in, and maybe a small bookshelf, she... sort of wants a rocking chair but doesn't say so, as it isn't necessary.

Then as they're about to move on the old man with no teeth grips her shoulder and she flinches; not because it hurt but because it startled her. "I'm fine, " is said to Toshiro as she turns back to the old man. He rattles off something and she hesitates worriedly; is it a trick?? "He...his name is Quidnik, he is a snake shifter from my mother's kin." is supplied, "he says the tome is not the only of dragon things he has; he was given some by his mate, many centuries ago, her name was Ayden." The red haired girl swallows, "he says his time is ending but he wishes the things to be attended and used. Are we interested? They would be free... if you can prove you're a dragon shifter." Would they have to tell this old man about the eggs? She wants her babies safe, and Akul. And all the shifter kids, they're HERS now. Theirs. "It's your call Toshiro." Is said softly.

Toshiro narrows his eyes when the man grabs Ammonia, but he does stay back when she motions. He listens as she translate. He does see the worry flash in her eyes. He steps forward, nodding slightly. He bends down and nuzzles her cheek. "I'll be ok," he promises.

He looks around, trying to figure out the best way to prove this. He sees a break in the stalls and crowd. He moves towards the large empty place. As long as he stays curled up, his entire form will fit. He turns to face the booth keeper. He nods to Ammonia before shifting. He careful and slow about it. He shakes off the magic as he settles into his dragon form. He lays his head down, breath puffing at the snake shifter. He curls his tail around his body and keeps his wings tucked tight. The crowd let's out a collective gasps and are quick to give him space. He stays there, waiting to see if the booth keeper is convinced. He tilts his head to nudge Ammonia, a deep rumble vibrating his chest.

Ammon stares sidelong at the old man who calls himself Quidnik, her green eyes full of a protective fire; she isn't sure she's comfortable with this. But her mate is strong, powerful and wise... and who is she to deny him the possibility of knowledge of his family? Especially with the draclings? Especially if they eventually have children of their own? Her red hair is tugged by a light breeze, and rather than voice her concerns she nods, "just ... don't go alone." His touch quiets her mind; she knows that he can take care of himself. "I'll wait here." Is said softly, because if something did happen one of them has to get away...

She watches the old man as he moves down the walk and into the alley that Shiro guestured to.

Toshiro stares at the man. A puff of smoke leaving his mouth. He blinks slowly, tail tip twitching must like a cat. He shifts, getting uncomfortable in the cramped ally. His dragon form maybe one of the smallest, but he is still large and must be careful so he doesn't damage the buildings and stalls around him. He huffy, looking over the man's shoulder to keep a close eye on his mate. His muscles are tense, ready to spring into action should anybody approach Ammonia.

The old man stands in the alley, eyes wide and mouth open before tears start to fill his gaze. A dragon! A real live dragon! He'd thought for ages that his mate was the last one!! Quidnik says something and nods his head, wiping at his cheeks.

Ammonia is aware of her mates' transformation, but she turns and walks to the next stall over where the toys await. The red haired young woman quietly chooses many of them, and when she asks a chest is sold (made of metal) for all the toys. Unfortunately she can't move it, so she just places her purchases into the box and grins as she waits. The couple who sell watch her, cooing at the infant in her arms before speaking about a few teething toys.

Toshiro tilts his head, his rumbling purr growing quiet as he focuses on returning to his human form. He shakes off the magic once back as a human. He gestures to out of the alley and slips away to find his mate. He hurries over to her, smiling at her. "I think it worked, but I unfortunately don't speak or understand their language," he says. He nods quickly to the couple that run the stall as they coo at Akul.

He glances back behind him, wanting to check on the old man. He feels bad for running to Ammonia, but he also would feel more awkward if the man tried to speak to him.

Ammonia reaches out and takes Toshiro's hand; she breathes her own relief that he's back. He's so important to her. "Welcome back," is teased, watching as the old man comes back over. She nods her head when he speaks to her, in lu of her mate. "He says at his stall he has a chest he can no longer move. It's yours if you'll go get it." The red haired woman squeezes Shiro's hand and then let's go, "he is very impressed and very happy. "

Toshiro nods. He leans down and gives Ammonia a quick kiss before turning to the man. He does pause and turn back towards. "Why don't you grab some toys for the little ones while I grab the chest? We can bring everything we got back to the caravan before shopping again," he says.

[Alpha*]

Ammonia nods to his plan, smiling gently, "of course, " is said but she's wondering how she will move the crate with Akul. And NO she isn't asking Toshiro. It doesn't take long before the pair are walking back to the cart and loading the goods.

NoLand huffs greetings, long fingered hands taking first the boxes and then the infant without prompting. The four year old comes over to the couple who are his new parents, "can I come too, Da?" Is asked, clutching a small bear. "Please?"
