here was no hestation. "A date would be nice." Elijah said before he realized he had even thought the answer. "I mean..." Elijah let out an awkward little laugh, covering his face with his hands. Honestly he felt exposed. His hat was gone, his ears twitching with every noise, he felt exposed because he was in a random place with the random cute guy in a completely random city and he had nothing to fall back on, he had no defenses, Andy was his only friend right now, and if he lost him he would have to start over and try again, and that was impossible for someone as quiet as him. Andy was important to Elijah, and the last thing he wanted to do was call this a date, then screw up and mess everything up. He wanted this t go well, he wanted it desperately. But Elijah had been on so few dates in his entire life, and his last relationship, his only relationship he had ever had, had gone rather awfully. He didn't want to mess this up, but he had a bad habit of being a screw up in social circumstances. He didn't want to screw up with Andy, he didn't want to. "Yeah.... A date." He said softly, almost like he was reassuring himself.

lijah barely noticed the time pass, time was an unrelevant facor with Andy, moments dragged on just long enough to make Elijah smile. He chuckled as Andy took a bite, apparently it was physically possible to take that large of a bite if one is fueled by hunger. Elijah looked down at his own plate, his stomach rumbling. God it smelled fantastic. "Okay." he said, picking up the heart attack disguised as a meal. Not surprisingly Elijah was more of a fish person, but he liked burgers fine. He smiled at Andy, flashing his feline fangs as he took a bite. He was about to make some sarcastic comment about how dreadful the burger was but he couldn't. "Oh, my god." He said through a mouthful of food. It was a really good, no that was an understatement. Humming in delight Elijah took another bite.

kay, this was obvious going to stay a light conversation, or atleast that was what Elijah thought, as he smiled back, taking a bite out of the burger again. "Well, I've only been here a few days and all that has really happened was school and this-" He motioned between the two of them. "I can't complain. I haven't been mugged, killed, or hit by a car yet, so that's good." Elijah laughed. He looked at Andy with a grin. "How long have you lived here?" He asked, taking another bite and downing about half his drink in a few gulps.

fter a little bit of a shocked expression Elijah chuckled lightly, though it arose the question of how old Andy really was. And when he intended to move again. And why he was still even in school. Elijah's smile faltered as the question was asked. "Uh." He said, caught off guard. "I know people have it worse, but I mean I can't help it." Elijah said. "Being a cat just makes me uncomfortable around water yeah, but thats not all, you're right." He wanted to just leave it there, but honestly his past wasn't that awful, it wasn't so terrible, other people had it worse, he knew that. Uh, basically, when I was a kid, my family had a lot of cash. We owned a lot of property, big house, the works. There was a huge lake that my father opened to the pubic, since we lived in a really hot place. WE got a boat and everything." Elijah smiled at the memory. "So, my two cousins, my parents, and my little sister all went out on the boat one day, it was big speed boat, we did all kinds of things, waterboarding and water skiing, plus my father and my cousin loved fishing. So we went out all the time." Elijah sighed, then forced a bit of a smile, trying to act like it didn't bother him so much. It wasn't that bad, he kept telling himself, as if that would make it better. "Someone drove their boat right into ours. The chances of that happening are a million to one, but they did it. Split out own boat in two. I was dragged under, rope had wrapped itself around my leg and I was dragged down. Next thing I know I'm in a hospital. Someone saved my life, but honestly i have no idea who. Everyone in my family died. I just can't bare being around water since then," Elijah shrugged, eating the rest of his burger.

lijah forced a smile. "I'm fine really." He said, then looked up at Andy. "Anymore?" He asked, more to himself. So Andy had been a guardian, that was a big deal. But his words were comforting either way. He smiled a little and nodded, pushing away from his own story and focusing on Andy. Elijah didn't like his past, and being seconds from drowning when he was a kid was just a nightmare he lived with. Sometimes he would wake up with chills and once in a great while screaming out for someone to help. But that was okay, he could live with that shadow, as long as he was able to make it through his day he would be okay. Never let the past haunt you right? But Elijah couldn't get over his fear of water, or his fact he couldn't swim still, he hated even thinking about it. "How about you, what's your story?" He asked innocently.Users browsing this forum: No registered users and 0 guests
