What a bloody ordeal. Elijah's head was pounding, he was exhausted, and something in him was growing tired of his timid nature around Andy. Maybe it was just him, but as time had passed the two had been riding a bit of a rollercoaster, one week they seemed closer than anything, the next Elijah wondered why this worked in the first place. They were almost finished with the school term, finals passing by Elijah had been staying up late every night studying. Never did Elijah ever think that he would find something more important than school work, but Andy was more important. Elijah had also gradually become more and more aware of the increased attention he was getting from some rather unsavory people. Like the boys who had thrown him in the pool almost half a year ago now, it seemed so long ago, but every time Elijah was alone in the halls, if Andy was in anyway distracted, Elijah was tormented, worse and worse it seemed. But he refused to tell Andy, he kept his head high, so far no wounds, nothing to worry over really, name calling and being tripped and having his backpack tossed in the pool, all childish things that Elijah could deal with really.

Since the night in the woods with Andy Elijah had forced away the uneasy feeling in his stomach about the two. It had taken him a while, sure, but he was finally completely trusting in Andy again, to the point not a single fearful thought passed his mind when a pretty girl passed by or talked to Andy. Elijah was learning to stop fretting over everything the other did. Now, walking down the hallway, Elijah felt ready to fall asleep in the middle of his rather confident strides, despite the hesitance he had on every turn. Elijah wasn't sure if Andy had just blown off the little signs since the time they demolished his locker with vulgar language and insults, or if Elijah just put of a good facade. He was burnt out. Elijah had to admit, he had Andy had even grown closer on an intimate level, it was exhilarating, as it was terrifying. Put Andy was as patient as Elijah was willing, which was a heavensent, pardon the term.

A growing snowstorm was howling outside. Elijah liked snow. He liked the look, the calm quiet that it caused, he liked to watch it fall. Whenever he had time he would watch it snow out the window at home, just sit and watch it all curled up in a blanket with some tea. He had yet to go skating, he wondered vaguely if Andy knew how to ice skate, he would think so, probably knew how to play hockey or something too. Despite the weather Elijah so adored he was rather bitter as of recent, school just becoming a burden to the often overly studious feline.

Elijah rubbed his eyes childishly with his sleeve, looking around for Andy. Elijah had stayed after school a little late, and he wasn't even sure if Andy had waited up. Though, it had only been a few minutes. Elijah almost tripped on himself as he stepped on a paper on the ground. He blinked, pausing to grab it. Something lit behind his eyes in excitement as he skimmed the paper. There was going to a be a winter masquerade at one of the richer student's manor, the student was head of the student council, a kind girl who had a little too much trust in her fellow classmates. Elijah felt a surge of giddiness stirring in his stomach. He didn't know if it would be something Andy would be interested in but Elijah was too excited to really think about it. A masquerade was the perfect thing for Elijah, he could not hide his ears, he could just relax a little, have fun, it sounded beyond enjoyable.

Like a child who had found something new and interesting that they wanted to show a parent Elijah picked up to a quick little trot, finding Andy and half jumping on his back, given the other was faced away. Elijah tugged off his hat, all but bouncing in excitement as he waved the flier in Andy's gaze. "Andy, this is perfect!" Elijah said with a childish glee, all tiredness for the first time in a week gone from his amber orange eyes, smiling brightly. "I haven't even heard about it until now, but I want to go, Andy please can we go? Will you be my date to this?" Elijah asked, realizing he probably looked a little insane he paused, holding the paper still so Andy could actually read it.

Andy, Mr. Popular, more than likely knew about it previous, Elijah supposed, he wondered why Andy hadn't asked if he wanted to go before.... Elijah assumed Andy thought Elijah would simply say no and decided to simply not ask. Either way Elijah was already excited, the winter formal masquerade was that weekend, not but a few days away.

Andy, taken by surprise, gasped slightly when Elijah climbed up his back and wrapped his arms around him, holding onto him like a little ape. A small chuckle escaping his mouth, he tried to allow his eyes to focus on the paper that wiggled in front of him. "All right, all right, what does it say?" he asked, taking the paper from him gently and reading the words on the page. Aye, the masquerade. He'd heard of it the entire week when girls in his class would randomly approach him and ask him to it, of course when Elijah wasn't around. Andy, however, didn't bother to ask Elijah because he, indeed, was unsure of what the other man would say. Besides, dances weren't.. typically his favorite thing. Unless, of course, he was crashing them. Honestly, he might have said no -- if it wasn't for the huge smile on that face of the boy he loved, the boy who had been frowning and grumpy and sleep deprived all week. Of course he wasn't going to say no, he wasn't going to crush his feelings like that. Besides, perhaps spending the dance with someone you actually cared about would be better than not.

"All right, if you insist." He spoke softly, reaching up and playfully rubbing his head. The smile that brightened Elijah's face even more made Andy's heart melt, and he grinned happily and crossed his arms. "Well, shouldn't we already get shopping for some new clothes to go?" He asked, raising a stark eyebrow in question as he awaited an answer.

Elijah gave a grateful little noise, wrapping his arms around Andy and kissing him hard. A bright grin still lingering on his face as he nodded quickly. He didn't own many nice clothes, and they didn't really posses that much money, but Elijah hardly cared. He was too excited. He never went to a school dance, or really any dance, given his sexuality and his non-popular social self, he was never invited, and never had anyone to go with. Honestly this would be his first one, the thought was more than exciting to the boy.

"That sound so fun yes! We need to get masks, too." Elijah nodded, he was getting a little ahead of himself, something the logical boy often didn't do. He silently wondered what colour would be best. Green, for him, maybe? Or black? He would have to ask Andy later what colour looked best on him. How childish it was of him to care about such things, but on the other hand he had every right to be excited.

Andy gave out a small chuckle, rubbing Elijah's head again before leaning forward and sneaking a quick peck on his cheek. "Of course, masks. Everything that we need, so that this can be a perfect dance." he grinned a bit, taking Elijah's hand. "It's not too late, as of now, how about we head out towards some shops and get some taken care of early?" he asked ,eyebrows raising in curiosity. However, before Elijah could really reply Andy was already carefully tugging him towards the door, a happy smile across his face. It just made him so happy seeing Elijah like this, so happy and bouncy. It was adorable, really. Made him just want to snuggle him to death and cover him in kisses xD.

Elijah, nodding enthusiastically, let Andy lead. It was cold out, a right blizzard. They often took Elijah's truck around now, given he had quiet literally threatened to smother Andy in his sleep if he dare step foot near his damned motorbike with such dreadful roads. Elijah was more than compliant to drive, given he always got nervous about Andy in the winter. Someone so reckless in such weather simply spelled disaster, after all. While Elijah was certain that Andy would be careful, it gave him peace of mind to be behind the wheel.

The little town wasn't known for it's large variety of shops, so Elijah ended up pulling up simply near a few shops that sold at least semi-decent clothes, he pulled his large, fluffy coat from the back seat, tugging it on as he glanced at Andy. "Which store should we even go to for something like this?" He asked. He knew he was physically tired, his body felt sluggish, his mind a little slower, but he was still to excited to contain his smile, the tips of his fangs catching the growing dim light of evening, the streetlights flickering on in a constant travel towards, then past, the truck.

A small chuckle left Andy's lips as he raised an eyebrow at the shorter male at his side. "Where do we go to buy this stuff? You're asking me? Did you fall off the bed this morning? Any damage in that cute little brain of yours?" he playfully flicked his cheek, grinning slightly. "Me out of all people, you ask. Hell if I know, babe. Some -- men's outlet store or something? Like, what even is shopping?" as he spoke he kept a smug grin across his lips, looking down at him. "I say let's just drop into a few stores, see what they have, and go from there." With that, Andy gave a gentle shrug of his shoulders and gently grabbed Elijah's hand, lacing their fingers together before beginning to walk forward, towards the store closest to where they'd parked the truck.

Elijah felt like a child, and part of him hated it, but if anyone was allowed to see Elijah act like a complete, freaking out idiot, it was Andy. Actually, it was a perfect event, really, because Elijah had something he really wanted to give Andy as of late, and he knew well it was stupid, and he hated himself for it a bit, but he could never find the time until now, the idea of the dance was the perfect time to confess everything to Andy, time to stop hiding like a little kitten under the blankets. Elijah tugged Andy along, his often docile natures lost to the fact he had already set his eyes on a rather lovely blueish silver tie that complimented Andy's eyes. Wait... That was rather girly, even for Elijah, wasn't it? He shrugged as he excitedly tugged the taller though every row of decent looking clothing he could find. Elijah still couldn't fathom where they would possibly get masks, but that was a problem to arise later.

Elijah froze a moment as he was picking his way through suits, he didn't know his measurements, but he was thinking that he would just get a premade one that was nicer, since they couldn't waste money on such trivial things. "Andy." Elijah stated, looking, for seemingly the first time, away from the garments and to Andrew. "Are you sure you wanna go?" Elijah asked, suddenly realizing maybe Andy just didn't want to go in the first place. Elijah had always imagined Andy loving parties, like he had taken that part of Andy's life away because instead of taking pretty girls to dances and getting friendly with the locals Andy was trapped inside with Elijah watching old movies that Elijah loved. When he thought about it he felt sightly selfish.

Raising a curious eyebrow, Andy looked down at his love and gave a small sigh. "Am I sure I wanna go?" he mocked, narrowing his eyes slightly -- but playfully. "If I didn't want to go, would I really have you dragging me around these boring stores and let you dress me up in something handsome and flashy?" he grinned a bit, reaching over and pulling Elijah into a hug. "Of course I want to go. It'll be great, and fun with you. Besides, I've never been to a party with someone I actually like." he smiled, leaning down as he gently lifted Elijah's chin with his finger, and placed his lips gently against Elijah's. Upon pulling back after a few seconds, he spoke. "Don't worry, I want to go. Okay, Elijah?" he smiled, stepping back a bit.
