"Twins...?" Naomi looked up at me as she sniffed and wiped away her tears.

"Yeah." I let out a gentle laugh. "A girl and a boy."

"Who told you...?" She asked softly. She smiled. "No wonder this is so awful." She let out a soft laugh.

"The nurse told me when she came to check on Archer's leg. Oh..." I closed my eyes. "Blaze is six months in as well." He winked. "They'll be little firy triplets."

Naomi laughed again. She kissed my cheek. "Well at least I'm not alone." Her arms wrapped around my neck happily. "Well they'll have another friend, yeah?" After a second she took in a short breath. Her arms moved around her stomach, and her eyes closed. She curled up some. "Ow. . ."

I slipped into the bed next to her, rubbing her stomach very gently. "There, there." I kissed her head.

Naomi relaxed. She moved her arms out of my way and, instead, she wrapped them around me. Lightly. I could tell that the pain was still there, but it had eased up some. Was that because of what I had done? Her breathing steadied again. "I love you. . ."

I smiled softly and closed my eyes, setting my forehead to hers.

Naomi drifted off to sleep, relaxing against the bed again with her nose in my shirt.
