I glared at her. "None of your business. If you haven't gotten it it's somewhere in your room along with a bouquet of lilacs and a jewelry box."

Lilac flinched. "Oh... Okay. . ." She quietly tuned away from me and brought her knees to her chest. She watched the ground, not saying anything else. After a few minutes she said something else, "You know, you're really harsh sometimes."

"Well sometimes I'm mad at people for hurting my friend's feelings!" I shouted into Lilac's face. Then I stood up and swiftly walked away.

Lilac's arms wrapped around her legs. She seemed to shrink down some as she hid her face into her knees.

"Just go to your dorm and look for the gift you idiot! Technus has tried so hard even with his RSD to make you happy!" I looked at her. Unbelievable! She's so inconsiderate!

I walked quietly to my dorm, my shoulder's slumped. How was I supposed to know he had RSD if no one had told me? I watched the ground, now feeling stupid and guilty. I hadn't thought he liked me! He seemed like the kind of person just to say he liked me even though he didn't. Just to make me happy. I let out a soft sigh. This 'crush' thing was way too complicated.
I found my way into my dorm, and I quietly looked around. There, sitting on my dresser, was a bouquet of lilacs... And a small jewelry box. How had Blaze known? Oh, wait, they were friends. I quietly walked up to it and then picked up the bouquet. I smelled them, my eyes closing softly. They did smell so very good. I smiled ever-so-softly. It was actually quite thoughtful of him. I set aside the flowers, and I looked at the jewelry box.

The jewelry box was purple with Lilac painted across it in pretty letters. I picked it up and opened it carefully. There inside was a sapphire crystal necklace and earrings to match in a set.

My eyes got wide. I had never had anything like it. Ever. My family had never had enough money, and I, honestly, was ignored because my parents took care of the two smaller girls. And the oldest just went around doing whatever. I had never been given anything like it. I had always had to work for everything. I never had enough money for anything super expensive, so this present seriously meant a lot to me. I loved it, but I also felt a little guilty because I knew it was worth a lot money. I would feel bad if I took it. What had I done to get it anyway? I had been a complete snob. I had ignored Tech at every turn. I had pushed him away and hurt his feelings. I wouldn't listen to him.
I gently picked up the necklace and earrings. I pulled the necklace to my neck, looking in the mirror. It was beautiful... But I really couldn't take it. It just wasn't right. I would have to go apologize for what I had done. First, I picked up the lilac's, and I put them into a glass of water. Then I slipped the jewelry into my small purse, and I ran out of the room, trying to find Tech.

Someone ran into the door I had opened, bounding back. "Ow!" It was Grim. He looked up to me, then his face turned red.
