"Hey..." Frey looked at me. Then he put an arm around me. "Don't give me that look." He smiled softly. "Can I visit her?"

I nodded faintly. "Yeah... Come on." I leaned my head against his shoulder as I walked him back to my room. "She's barely even awake anymore. She slips into a semi-coma for days on end, and the nurse said that she couldn't do anything to help more than she already has. . ." I whispered. A small, lonesome tear fell down my cheek. I had already cried over it for many, many hours. When I got to my room I unlocked the door. I looked at Frey. "What we're doing now's the only thing available for her." I shook my head. "And it costs about four hundred a month. The only thing they can to is double the dosage of what we're giving her already, but that could kill her." I shook my head. "And I don't have the money for it anyhow."
Thinking about the situation just made me more upset. I quietly walked into and went up to my bed to see my beautiful little sister. She was only eleven. She had long brown hair, and when she looked up at us with her blue, glossed over eyes they seemed to get a small shine to them. She didn't have the strength so smile anymore, but when she could her smile was absolutely stunning. She was gorgeous. "Hey, Lola." I gently kissed her cheek, and then I sat down on the bed beside her. I took her hand in mine. She was thin, pale, and she had trouble breathing already. She couldn't move anymore either. She had a set of iv's in her arm and a breathing tube to go with them. There was a steady monitor for her heart beat that was lower than a normal person's heart. I lightly bit my lip, not wanting to fall apart in front of my little sister. She was fine just last month. She had been getting better. . . But, as with everything, the good times never lasted forever.

Frey set his crutches aside and held Lola's hand. "Hey, cutie." He kissed Lola's head. I saw a tear fall. Frey looked up at me, then put his gentle arms around Lola. I saw his shoulders shaking as he just cried. He cared so much for Lola. He used to have a little brother with down syndrome, and he was Lola's age, but he passed nearly two years ago.

I set a soft hand to Frey's back as I watched my little sister. She was so very sweet...
Lola quietly closed her eyes. She tried to say something, but it just wouldn't come out. She quieted, not able to comfort me or Frey like she used to.
I gently rubbed Lola's hand, and then I hugged Frey as I gently set my head to Lola's stomach. My own eyes closed. "You think the school would let me take a while off...? A couple weeks? I have to get another job." One with more hours. I didn't want my sister to leave. She had to make it. I couldn't live without her. I mean, we had been together forever. I had raised her myself. She meant more to me than anyone else in the whole wide world. She was more than just a sister. Another tear fell down my cheek. I took in a breath, holding it in. Then I let it out in a puff.

Frey kissed my cheek. Then he sat up. "I'm going to help pay, okay? I have a high paying job as the beta tester, right? So maybe the technician people that are my bosses.... maybe I could get a few more hours in." He kissed Lola's cheek. "I love you Lola..." He kissed my cheek. "Love you, Tabitha. I'm going to go on..." He then shook his head. "Would you mind if I stayed the night...?" He fell onto his side, next to Lola, carefully.

"That's fine... I wouldn't mind." I lay down on the other side of Lola. I gently rubbed her cheek, and then I gave it a soft kiss. "I love you, Lola. And you too, Frey." I reached over to Frey and took his hand into my own. "Thank you, Frey... Thank you so much." I curled up to Lola. My fluffy ears popped up, brushing against her cheek. She always loved my ears. . . Weird, huh? She would say 'fluffy, fluffy!' and run around me. Ah, the good times. . .

I heard a snore escape from Frey. He was already asleep...? I peeked over. His arms were around Lola, and his eyes were closed peacefully. His fluffy ears were out, along with his bushy tail, laying over Lola and against my stomach.

I smiled softly. I let my head drop to the bed. I looked up at Lola
Her eyes were closed and her breathing was longer and more peaceful... She was asleep.
My tail quietly drooped onto her stomach. I curled up and fell asleep.

Technus
I laid on the bench in the woods, left knee up. Grim sat next to me, quietly putting the brace on my right ankle, which has Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome(RSD). I felt like my whole body was on fire... Well, mainly just my right leg...
Grim looked up at me as I fought back growls. He smiled a bit. "You'll be fine, Technus. Promise." He whispered and then he set down my leg gently, clipping the wrap.
I let a growl out. Then I sat up and put both of my hands to my ankle. I looked up as I saw Lilac walking past. She ignored me now... I looked at Grim. Who was looking over at Naomi with a soft smile. I glanced over to Naomi, who was beside Lilac.

"You should probably say hey to them, Lilac. . ." Naomi said softly.
"Why?" Lilac crossed her arms. "There just a bunch of liars."
"And what if they aren't?" Naomi sighed. She pulled Lilac to us. "Hey, guys." She gave us a soft smile. "You okay, Technus?"
I saw Lilac watching my foot as if she was worried, but as soon as she saw me looking she stubbornly looked away. Her right hand went to hold her left arm.
"Come on, Lilac." Naomi went to pull Lilac to us.
"No. . ."
"Look. You two-" Naomi looked at me and then Lilac "-need to make up or get over it, okay? Lilac, you're just being stubborn. I mean, it's not like he was really lying when he said he liked you. And I'm pretty sure you aren't helping the situation by ignoring him."
"Quit trying to fix it, okay?" Lilac looked at Naomi, and then her eyes landed on me. "Besides, it's not like her cares if I'm ignoring him or not. He hasn't complained a bit, see? I'm just less annoying to him now." She spun around, going to leave.
Naomi sighed and then offered me a soft shrug. "You know, she's not the only one in the wrong, Tech. . ." Her gaze went to Grim who was till smiling at her. She gave him a dazzling, eye shinning, happy smile. "Hey, Grim."
