my singing seemed to block out the conversation but i heard the words. of course, aero doesn't like me, but the pretty valencia.
i hold back tears and start to sing my emotions. it was a song known to show that you loved someone but they didn't love you. it was sad slow and serenity seemed to pour her heart into it. when she finished she left into the building hearing her crystals clang. she then knew she couldn't stay long, what if aero had heard her? or even understood the message? it would be too awkward, he would probably try to explain something and i wouldn't care. who needs boys anyway? i do i thought sickly.

"Tell me about it!" He exclaimed followed by a sigh. "There aren't too many single guys around, so I guess they can't help but get a bit desperate." Looking over his shoulder, he could see Serenity running off into the castle. He understood at that moment he had done something terribly wrong. He had once again played with another's emotions by accident. Turing back to Valencia he looked down and whispered, "This is why I don't like romance. It only ends up hurting people."

I rolled my eyes. "Alright.. If you say so." I chuckled a bit and put the herbs in a potion pot. Using my magic to heat it up and for it to stir itself, I started to mumble some ancient words to myself, now fully focused on the potion.

"Exactly!! I mean, love in a nutshell. Letting someone get to you, know all your emotions so they can unlock the vault in your heart so they can steal it and mess you up from the inside." she said.
She sat down on the bench, and huffed slightly.
"I don't get why others just let Foxers do that to them. What's so great about it, anyway?? It's just pain." { ☣ }

i wasn't crying, i had forgotten about him. i ate some food and laughed at others's jokes.
but i was really only half listening because my mind was whirring. i don't need romance i was thinking since i always
had crushes and always made a fool of myself like now. aero was probably thinking i was some idiot girl for getting sad about it. if only i hadn't have done anything, we would've been friends. now any possibility is now gone. he is probably confused about why i ran off. since if he is single that means he doesn't know how sensitive girl are, how sensitive i am.

"You know, you're exactly right! I can't believe anyone bothers with this stuff anyway." Aero admitted, now feeling more relaxed than before. He felt bad for Serenity, but he knew going after her would only make it worse. For now, he was going to try and enjoy the night, without any drama.

i felt put-down remembering how cheerful i was on hearing that aero was there. now i should just pretend he doesn't exist.
i walk out to the garden and start to sing to the birds again. they made me smile. i made a sweet coo and got a blue jay to come over. it looked at me and started to sing an enthusiastic tone. i forgot about boys, and only sang notes instead of songs. i didn't need romance, i needed birds. as long as there is somewhere that i can escape from a bad situation that is outdoors and has birds to sing with i can keep happy and keep cool when angry.

I finished the potion and I shook my head, slightly exhausted. Suddenly notes filled my ears. "Someone else is out here." I made everything disappear except the potion and I hissed lowly. "Dangit.."
