She smiled, turning her head slightly and looking at him. "Pretty good...", she said softly. "I thought you'd be reading over my shoulder... and next time you want to scare me, try jumping from the shadows, or grabbing me from behind..", she suggests, closing the cover and tucking it under her armm

James blushes, reading was the last thing on his mind. "Good.. i hate to hurry you, but... well, the tides are coming in.." he tells her. "Perhaps next time, then again, i may not like the results i am given by you."

She smiled, looking at him. "It's all good James, I already know what I am going to get.", she said and pulled the rest of the series from the shelf, walking over to the man behind the counter. "I think you'll like this one James.", she said, pulling her wallet from her satchel to pay, smiling at him.

James pulls a bill from his wallet to cover the charge. Then, the wolf is gathering the items in one arm. "And which book is this that i would like?" he asks her as he holds open the door with a smile.

She looks to him as he pays and she bites her lip. Goodness, he was too kind to her.. She steps through the door. Such a gentleman... "Dragon Slippers... ", she said with a smile, looking up at him. "And thank you James."

[Alpha*]

"Dragon Slippers? What kind of a title and story is that?" Is asked with perplexion. Gold eyes contemplate, "I'll be sure to read it," is agreed, "After you are done with it, of course." a shy, yet strange grin. "You are welcome." he is still partially wolf on the outside, but it is fading.

She shrugged slightly. "Well, we shall see.. and besides, you are holding the whole series right there. And don't worry, I am a fast reader.", she said softly, looking up at him. "James, you really don't have to carry that for me.."

"Oh yes, it would be terrible to only have one book of the series, never know what happens until spring, terrible with cliff hangers.." he tsks cheerfully. "you're a fast reader? Me too. My kin tell me that i read too fast to contemplate but i always get the good parts stuck in my head.." is hummed by James as he looks down at her; "i like to do things for you, but uhh, if you want to carry it..." that part is aqward.

She smiled softly. "I hate waiting...", she said merrily, looking up at him as he spoke. "Oh, if you like doing things for me, then maybe I shouldn't keep you from doing them?", she said, thinking. "But I feel bad, you don't have to carry them for me... but...", she thought just a moment longer. "How about I carry two and you can carry the other?", she suggested... gosh, she could be soo awkward at times...

James blushes timidly and looks away, "Suppose not." is agreed with a shy smile. "You shouldn't feel bad," but at her words the wolf-man-captain-alpha holds two out to her for her to take and continues walking while he awaits her to take them from him.
