alex nodded, grinning. she put on the last rock and wondered if she was actually going to be a decent person for once. she sighed, wistfully. she put out her hand and chuckled, "alex, well, alexandra, but i like alex better. i kind of wanted to see how long it took it took you to realize that we didn't know each others names." alex always tested people to see how long it took them to notice little things like this. it was a bad habit that she always had. "um, it that all that we can really do right now or are we forgetting something?"

James shook the girls hand softly once she extended her own hand to him. He smiled at her name, it was pretty nice and he had to make a mental note to call her Alex as opposed to Alexandra. Both of the names seemed to suit the girl and he let his hand fall away after a moment. Upon hearing her question he hummed, lips pursing and he looked around. "Well.. we have quite a good supply of water bottles, we have some granola bars and things like that as well as this genius fish trapping device." he grinned. "So I think we're good for the time being. We just have to make sure we stay calm and don't go all loopy." he hummed.

alex smiled when he called her fish trapping methods. she was glad that yahoo did her good in a time like this. "okay then," she responded, sitting down in the sand. she suddenly felt exhausted. even though she didn't really do anything major, it had still been a long day. she ran her fingers through the grains softly, recalling the whole days events over again. "it's funny to think this morning i was mad at my parents for making me fly to london to see my grandparents. i should've appreciated the fact that i would get to talk to them. i won't see any of my family now. i obviously didn't realize how much i had," she sighed.

James sat down beside her as she did and he smiled softly, his eyes finding her hands as she ran them under the sand. He mimicked the reaction with one of his hands and he nodded softly along with her words. "I was angry too.." he mumbled. "My sister ran away.. to England and.. I just thought that maybe I could get to her in time.." he shrugged his shoulders a moment. "Of course thinking negatively won't get us anywhere now will it?" he hummed, looking back to her. "I say we rest up as much as we can tonight and then tomorrow we look at this with a clear head." he smiled. "Sound good?" he asked, standing up and holding a hand out for her to take. "Shall we head inside?" he asked with a fake posh british accent.

alex frowned at his response. she knew that your siblings were the closest people to you. she had four sisters and she couldn't imagine any of them running away or just leaving the family behind in general. it made her wonder what made her want to leave her family. james must have been so worried. she sighed at his comment to stay positive. "you're right," she agreed and yawned. "i was getting tired anyways." she grinned and took his hand. "we shall," she answered him, in between her laughs at his accent. she climbed after james inside of the shelter and laid down. "goodnight," she said to him before closing her eyes and falling asleep.

James nodded and followed the girl over to the small shelter, plopping down in the empty seat and laying it back slightly, managing to get pretty comfortable in a small amount of time, slowly relaxing into the cushioned seat. "Goodnight." he called back to her before he allowed his body to relax and finally drift off into sleep.

alex woke up with a soft moan. she glanced at james, still asleep, and the stood up to go check the trap for fish. she knew they were going to get hungry sooner or later, and she knew she was going to have to contribute to the food supply. once, she got there, she realized it would take a while for the trap to be anyways, but as she turned to walk back to the shelter, she caught sight of a crack in the corner of her eye. she turned to get a closer look, and saw a crack that had gone through the ground. she shrugged it off, went back to the shelter, and then sat down in one of the airplane seats to wait until james woke up.

James had been sleeping comfortably, his eyes shut and fluttering softly with sleep. He stirred slightly when the other girl got up and he hummed softly in the back of his throat, squinting at the sunlight. He let his eyes shut again, trying to wake himself up a bit more before he opened his eyes. He threw an arm over his eyes, letting himself sink into the chair. He licked his lips slowly before he sat up, eyes opening slightly, hair messed up. He could hear something faint in the distance but he shrugged it off.

alex picked at her nails as she sat there. she heard the boy sit up, and said, "morning," softly. "did i wake you up?" she would feel bad if she did. she knew that she was usually loud, but she hoped that she didn't wake him up. then, she heard something faintly. it was probably just the waves or something. she glanced out to the water, and saw nothing suspicious.

James hummed as the girl spoke to him. "Morning." he slurred, rubbing at his eyes and face. "No, my body's internal clock is very picky." he mumbled, opening his eyes slightly though squinting a bit at the brightness. "How's everything looking?" he asked, bringing his hand up and fixing at his hair blindly.
