The elder shook her head no a bit before looking back at Petalkit. "I'm afraid not Petalkit. You'll have to go ask some others." she meowed.

Swiftkit chuckled, smiling a bit now. Her fear melting away. "I don't now. Maybe something cool like Swiftstrike!" she purred. "What about yours?" she asked.

"Oh." Petalkit blinked. Where could they have gone? "Okay then, thank you anyway." She dipped her head respectfully to the elder before backing out of the den. Maybe Ravenkit had had better luck.

"Well when I'm leader, I'll give you that name, and you can be my deputy," Ospreykit said with a grin. "Let's see..." He started to think about what his own name should be, but before he could come up with anything, a tuft of red fur peeking out of the bushes caught his attention. "It's back!" he hissed quietly, lowering himself as much as he could against the branch so as not to be seen. He wasn't sure if foxes could climb trees, but he didn't want to find out.

Ravenkit, had looked about for Swiftkit and Ospreykit but had no luck. He returned to the nursery entrance and waited for Petalkit. "Where can they be..." he grumbled.

Swiftkit hissed a bit and crouched low to the branch next to her brother. "It needs to go away..." she growled. She wanted her mom or dad, knowing they would have been able to help.

[Cradily]

After checking a few more places, Petalkit headed back to the nursery to meet with Ravenkit. "Did you find them?" she asked.

"It will," Ospreykit said in a low voice. "It won't be able to find us up here. It'll get bored of searching and just leave." I hope.

Ravenkti shook his head, his ears dropping back. "I'm starting to worry, Petalkit." the young kit meowed. Yes Osprey and Swiftkit picked on him and Petalkit, however they where still family. Family always looked out for one another.

"Let's hope so... I'm hungry and want to go home." Swiftkit meowed. The young kit's tail lashed back and forth, impatient with the fox.

[Cradily]

"Me too," Petalkit whimpered. She wouldn't put it past Swiftkit and Ospreykit to sneak out of camp by themselves. "Should we tell Mom and Dad?"

Ospreykit sighed quietly as he hugged the branch. The fox had crept out of the bushes by now and was sniffing around the tree the kits were up, but it still hadn't spotted them. Ospreykit held his breath.

"We probably should. What if they got hurt and need help?" Ravenkit asked. The kit stood to his paws and waited to follow Petalkit to their parents. Badgerstorm and Wolfsong wouldn't be happy, however they would be grateful if they knew their kits where okay.

Swiftkit sat quietly, barely making a sound even when breathing. She watched the fox sniff around the tree, praying to StarClan it wouldn't look up.

Petalkit shuddered at the thought of her siblings getting hurt. "Come on!" She ran to where their parents were as fast as she could, now even more worried than before. "Mom! Dad! Ospreykit and Swiftkit are gone!"

Ospreykit couldn't help but let out a small squeak when the fox glanced upwards. Now he was sure it had noticed them. Saliva dripped from the dog-like creature's teeth as it snarled up at them.

Wolfsong turned and face her two gentler kits, a worried look on her face. "What do you mean their gone?" the black she-cat meowed. It seemed like until her kits where apprentice Wolfsong would have to keep an eye on them day round.

Ravenkit stopped at his mother's paws, a bit worried. "Y-yeah... their gone..." he meowed.

Swiftkit hissed, swiping at the air above the fox. "Stupid fox. You can't reach us." she hissed, her tail lashing back and forth.

[Cradily]

"We can't find them anywhere in camp," Petalkit explained. "We think they might have sneaked out."

"Sneaked out?" Badgerstorm's fur stood on end. At once, he was on his paws and racing out of camp.

Ospreykit quickly regained his confidence and joined Swiftkit in taunting the fox. "Yeah, come on and try!"

The fox growled and circled the tree slowly. It didn't seem like it'd be leaving any time soon.
