"Come." He took her hand and whisked her down the beach, his gentle fingers enclosing hers. He led her to the beach and stepped into the waves, letting the water lap at his ankles. Winter gazed down at her, blinking slowly. His hair blew in the breeze.
21 years old and he still looked the same, maybe a little taller, calmer, but still the same. The yellow had long since faded from his eyes and blue was slowly returning to his white one. His love for Jasmine had magnified a hundred times over.
Reaching into his pocket, Winter sank to one knee quietly in the waves. He looked up at her and drew out the ring. It was simple, engraved with two dragons that curved around the metal, their tails encircling an ocean blue gem. "Jasmine," he began, voice quivering slightly. "Will you marry me?"
