"Yes, he was Italian." Grey confirmed. "Every year there was a volunteer, they would cut the volunteers hand an give them our blood to heal them. Every year it worked. The fifth year I was taken out if the cage and Enzo was locked in it. They cut my wrist an drank. I...I killed them all but the fire spread." He said talking about a fire he had never said anything about. Yet he did, he caused it. Grey looked away and up tears sliding down his cheeks. "I couldn't open the cage. I couldn't do it. And he was still inside. I-I left." Grey's voice cracked and shook as he got the words out for the first time. "He begged me not to leave."

" what fire?" She asked, her mind reeling. They had to have done it on purpose. They had to have known he would crack. a test? but why? why lose him and all their valuable workers, for a test. She ran a hand through her waterfall of hair.

"There were candles...I knocked them over in my delusional state." He confessed. "An it spread. Torching the entire house."

" you were in a house?" Well that changed things. She shook her head, " how... what happened next?'

"We'll it was the Whitmore house, they're worse than the school. Way worse." He said softly. "When they were to busy marveling at her healing palm I snapped her neck, an then his." He said. "I uh knocked the candles over on the table when I killed him. Then about twenty others. Some died because of the fire. Most by my hands." He said pulling his hands away from her and looked down at them in his lap.

Alia took his hands in hers, and turned them so the anchors faced up. She traced the tattoos, " How'd you get out?" She asked softly.

He sighed heavily. "I killed all the guest. Left Enzo and ditched the scene." He said quickly. "I shouldn't have left him. I should've burned with him." He said shrugging. "Alia..I'm bad news. We can't...we can't do this."

Alia bit her lip, " I had always hoped i'd see you again, and here you are...... I hate them, for everything they did to you and put you through. I'm sorry about Enzo, i didn't have to meet him to know he was a great guy..." She met his eyes, " Grey, you can't leave again."

"I hate them for taking me from you guys..." Grey said nodding. He finally looks over at her. "Alia...honey I don't want you to get hurt." He said sadly.

" I won't get hurt.. You can stay here with me, they can't get you here." She said, quickly, ready to do anything to have him stay.
