He smiled and kissed her back. He was tired but he was more awake with her around. His body buzzed with excitement. He loved her and being around her. He just wished he was so injured and useless. He had imagined their getting back together as quite different from this.

Sutton looked at him placing a hand on his chest "now take it easy!" She said smiling and gentle "it's my turn to take care of you... So is there anything you need?" She asked looking at him giggling and said "also why'd you slap the bag away?" She asked smiling

He tried to shrug. Then he remembered his shoulder as pain shot through his left broken shoulder. "It was in my face. And I'm good thanks." He said with a smile. As she had a hand on his chest his rib started hurting. Using his right hand he moved it away from the hurt rib,"Sorry it was on my bruised rib." He said. His breathing was a bit rough again, he tried to recover so she wouldn't notice.

Sutton nodded "I would lay with you but I'm afraid to hurt you." She saud calmly and looked at him placing her hand on his cheek kissing him "also stop acting fine when your not it scares me..." She saud sighing and then she held his hand and slowly rubbed his right arm softly and smilied

He tried to laugh. "Please don't. That's be painful. I won't lie." He said with a small smile. He kissed her back then said stubbornly,"I am fine. Just a few broke bones, so what? There's people here suffering with worse." He firmly squeezed her hand and felt his breathing get a bit choppy again. He soon recovered, his breathing got all jacked up once he started to talk a bit.

Sutton sighed and smiled and calmed down once she felt him firmly squeeze her hand and took her thumb running the back of his hand and looking at him "how about you stop being stubborn and stop talking because your making your breathing uneven" she said frowning looking at him sighing not liking how badly he was hurt, she was too distracted she didn't noticed she was crying

"Not unless you stop crying, baby." He said. Saying that made his chest burn more but he wouldn't stop even if it inflicted pain on himself, not unless he knew she was okay. "Come here." He said and used his free hand to pull her close until she laid next to his good side, that was mostly uninjured besides a minor thing, a bruised rib. He held her close as he scooted over to give her room on the hospital bed. "Sh.. It'll be alright." He said ignoring the burning pain he felt. He felt it numb after a while, he got used to the constant pain.

Sutton frowned "Colton...it hurts to see you like this, you saying everything's alright isn't helping... Stop talking please, I don't want you hurting yourself!" She said crying more frowning and rested on the hospital bed looking at him sniffling

His heart minister had started to speed up a little. Then it slowed as he rolled on his back and shut his eyes. "Fine. But I am fine, I've been in worse situations with my job." He then opened his eyes and gently wiped away we tears silently. He knew he had felt more pain, physically and emotionally. With his job he risked his life daily, he was lucky he hadn't died, he was fine compared to dead. He sighed already growing bored. He hated hospitals and this one wasn't any different, except for the fact that he had company for once.
