ａ ｍａ ｎ ｄ ａ bit her lip, which was probably pretty raw by now, considering she bit it so often. She was sitting on the edge of Ender's bunk with her desk in her hands. "Alright, this is the other present," She said a little nervously. She hadn't sung in front of anyone in a while. "Please don't laugh, but tell me if it sucks." She pulled open something on her desk; a program she'd tapped into. It had to do with the music settings on the games, and she'd figured out how to make new melodies with it. It had taken forever, she'd been working on it for a month and a half. She played the music she'd written with a few taps on the screen, waiting for the moment to start. She'd already made sure Ender's door was locked, so nobody could interrupt. When the time came, she started her song.

Ender shrugged sitting down on the edge of his bed and when he started to hear music he suddenly frowned and narrowed his eyes wondering what this was. She was nervous and she even looked back at the door and managed to look everywhere but at him. Ender stopped and was surprised to see her speaking, but not speaking, to a rhythm, a beat. Lyrics, this was a song. He suddenly smiled his eyes shinning then when he listen to it his face instantly got flustered and a bright red. Which was rare because Ender was a tall and pale kid one reason everyone thought his eyes were so bright. But now it looked as if someone painted red on his face. He listened to it, it was a nice song. It was nice but Ender didn't know if he should like her. Looks like no matter what he does she's up for the challenge and he has no choice in that. He just hopes she doesn't walk away after realizing how horrible it is to be him. [code][/code]

ａ ｍａ ｎ ｄ ａ gained confidence as she sang. it was easier as she got into it, remembering when she was a kid and sang in front of the whole family. She managed to look Ender in the eyes, and saw with a smile that he was bright red. Once she finished, and the music stopped, she took a breath. "What did you think?" She hoped it was good, she didn't know what else she could've done. There weren't any malls in space, and even if there were,s he didn't know what he liked besides battle and strategy. With her luck, he would be creeped out or something and decide to just be friends.

Ender sat there awkwardly. He didn't know what to do. her song really was good but he didn't know how to word it without sounding like a total jerk. Ender wasn't a big reactor to surprises. he was more of the... "cool" or "thanks" kind of person. "I really liked it. Thank you." he said wondering if thanks you was right say when she just sang him a song. "Um, did you write that yourself?" he said trying to looked shocked. He really was it was amazing that she could do that but all the seriousness and awkwardness just rushed to his face making him seem... blank? [code][/code]

ａ ｍａ ｎ ｄ ａ blushed a little. She knew he wasn't one to react with a whole lot of emotion. Even when they practiced and she did something well, he just said "good." She didn't take it personally, that was just him. "Yeah, I wrote it myself. Figured out how to make music on my desk. I'm glad you didn't hate it." She smiled, turning her desk off and setting it down. She tried to restrain herself; what she really wanted was to hug him for a few hours, stay in his room until the bugger war ended. She never felt safer than when she was with Ender. But instead she looked down at her hands, which were resting in her lap.

Ender looked and saw her face become almost as red is his were and she shyly looked down at her hands. He reached down grabbing her hand and held it resting it on her knee. "Come here" he said sitting back against his bed then leaned forward and grabbed her waist scooting her up net to him. Now his Arm was over her shoulder. "It was nice. I really liked it. No ones ever done that for me." he said. He's never even had a girlfriend before. he realized. She was the first girl he's ever kissed. Sadly the first person outside his family that he kissed was not her but Alai... Alai kissed him they were very young and it was on the cheek it was a religious thing, not him. ａ ｍａ ｎ ｄ ａ was pulled next to him, and her heart started beating a little faster. "Thanks. For saying that I mean. It's weird, how battle school makes us all tough. We're used to not smiling, but when something does make you smile, it's weird. At least, it is to me. I hadn't laughed much at all until we started hanging out. Relaxing more, she leaned into him again, and a flashback reminded her that they were like this when Aaron caught them. But the door was locked, and Aaron already knew. As long as they weren't late for anything, nobody would come in. She smiled again, emphasizing the whole 'you make me smile' thing. (lol, Brad Paisley)

Ender sighed looking up. It was morning. The whole room was pitch black. He stood up opening his door a little for light. Not needing to find his switch he grabbed a few things then jogged out slipping on his suit. Walking down the hallway the ship felt almost dead, or empty. The only lights on were the emergency lights along the wall. Everything was quiet. Every army room he passed was pitch black with the faint sound of breathing. Ender was always the first one awake. Before every commander and always turned the light on. Ender flicked the lights on walking back down the hallways and turned his army rooms lights on. "Get up! We have a battle with Salamander Army! I am NOT participating in this one. Everyone knows who's and charge and I want to see you win without me telling you the plan. All of Dragon Army will get good, not just me! Go go go!" he said messing with people pushing them off their beds attacking them lightly testing their skills.[code][/code]

ᵃᶰᵈʳᵉᵃ ˢᵃˣ Andrea got up right on time. Not early today, because her army didn't have any battles. Tomorrow, they were going against Scorpion army again. She got ready quickly before going to wake up her army. "Alright Griffin, let's go! We have practice all day!" The soldiers groaned, saying they never got a break. "Shut up, pansies!" Andrea hollered. "We've got battle tomorrow, so we need to stay sharp! How else are we gonna rank first?" That was her goal. To beat Dragon, and Salamander. Make it to first in the standings and stay there.

Amanda woke shivering. Another nightmare. She shook her head, sitting up and wrapping her arms around her knees. It was still dark, so she changed into her flash suit and got ready. Once finished, she sat on the edge of her bunk in the darkness, waiting for the lights to turn on so she had an excuse to leave. They had a battle against Dragon Army today, and she couldn't wait to show off. Sure, Ender would win, but maybe he would notice that she was getting better? Hopefully. She could hear the boy above her talking in his sleep again, and she rolled her eyes. That kid kept her up all the time with his mumbling. When he wasn't talking, someone else was snoring. No wonder she was always tired.

Ian got up when the lights came on. Cursing, he threw on his flash suit and ran to his army's barracks. "Alright everyone, the lights are on, you know what that means! Hurry up, we've got a battle with Rat and they don't like tardiness! Move!" He tried to hide how idiotic he felt. Late for a battle. Great job Ian. Turning, he gave Brooke a nod before leading his army out once they'd finished.

Will hurried to get his flash suit on, wanting to be first. He was determined to help beat Salamander, to make up for being so misbehaved lately. Food fights, slacking off in class. He felt bad about it, but something wasn't right lately. He felt tired all the time, and he wasn't happy. Not that you were supposed to be happy in battle school, but he usually was. Maybe he needed to eat healthier or something.
