ʟɪᴠᴇ ᴘᴜʀᴇ ᴏʀ ᴅɪᴇ sᴄʀᴇᴀᴍɪɴɢ...

In the land of Britannia there are sparkling warriors of purity and goodness known to the populous at large as magical girls. These sparkling maidens have defended the country from monsters and demons for as far back as people can remember. No one knows where the demons and monster originated from although theories abound. All anyone knows is that many centuries ago when the demons and monsters first appeared and began to ravage the land it was not long before the first magical girls also appeared to battle them. At their sides their loyal companions known as Mascots.

But all is not as it seems within the sparkling community of the pure defenders of Britannia. For the price of being a magical girl is high, within three to five years after they are first recruited to their new job every magical girl dies after a year in which their magic and mind both fail them. At the end of this time their loyal companion will begin the search for a new girl to continue the honored tradition of defending the country. But oddly enough within a day or two of each girls passing their is always a new demon attack. Common belief is that it is a side effect of the magic released when a magical girl dies. The true reason is far more sinister but only known to the Mascots and they are keeping a silent council.

But even with such dark shadows hanging in the back of every magical girls mind they still work tirelessly to rid the country of dark forces. Our story takes place in the capitol of Britannia, known as Saxon. The largest city in the country is is home to the Forum, the countries center of government, one of the largest and most bustling commercial districts in the nation, and of course the Hall of Virtues. A beautifully ornate building that is home to the magical girls of the city and their Mascots. The magical girl population of Saxon is among the largest in the country due to the high number of monster and demon attacks that take place daily throughout the city. Magical girls typically patrol in pairs although groups of three or more will converge if there is a massive attack.

When not on duty the magical girls reside within the Hall of Virtues. This large ornate building is in the upper class district of the city and sits on a large expanse of private land. Inside houses training rooms, a dining hall, a home theater, a game room, a kitchen, an indoor pool, and even a ballroom. There are also several rooms on the upper floor for the magical girls and their Mascots as well as a library filled with books on previous magical girls and various types of demons, as well as popular and classical works of fiction as well. The Hall is off limits to the public without permission and where all magical girls and their companions may relax and unwind.

When it comes to civilian identities girls are forbidden from contacting their civilian families. They may walk around the Hall in their civilian guises if they wish but if they go around the city they must either be in magical girl persona or under a disguise of some kind.

➔ LUCKY CLOVER :: A bright clover forms on her hands and she shoots them at her opponents. They tend to act as flashy distractions but if they manage to hit her opponent they do cause a minimal energy drain.
➔ UPGRADE: FIELDS OF CLOVER :: A upgraded version of her lucky clover attack, Charm calls forth a field of light in the shape of clovers that increases the luck of any of her allies caught in it and also causes a consistent (if minimal) drain on her enemies energy. It only lasts for three minutes. (typically used once or twice per transformation)
➔ LUCKY CHARMS :: When Charm uses this attack she reaches for the lucky charms attacked to the pouch to her side and uses one of them for a specific "lucky" affect. Each Charm's affect lasts for seven minutes and she can only use one at a time (a max of three per transformation). Her Charms are as follows:

1. Lucky Horseshoe - her horseshoe grows in size and forms a shield in front of her that can either take seven hits or lasts seven minutes.
2. Lucky Rabbit's Foot - her rabbit's foot glows and then her feet light up with bright white light and her speed is increased.
3. Lucky Wishbone - her wishbone glows as she breaks it in half and makes a wish (typically in the form of a temporary binding on her opponent).
4. Lucky Cat - her lucky cat glows and allows her to dodge either seven attacks or any attack for seven minutes.
5. Lucky Rainbow - her lucky rainbow glows and blinds her opponent temporarily. (only one hit attack)
6. Lucky Coin - her lucky coin glows and she tosses it to one of her allies boosting their luck temporarily.
7. Lucky Number Seven - her lucky number seven glows and forms seven balls of light that cause a 7% drain of energy when they hit her opponent.

➔ WHEEL OF FORTUNE :: One of Charm's two strongest attacks this calls forth a giant wheel behind her that has seven sections within it. Each section is a specific ability and when she says "Take a Chance and Spin the Wheel!" the wheel spins before landing on one of the seven sections. Whatever affect it lands on is then given out. It is usable once per transformation and only if she hasn't used Fortune's Favor. The sections of the wheel are as follows:

1. Reset - resets all of her allies health back to 100%.
2. Rapid Dash - increases the speed of Charm and her allies for thirteen minutes.
3. Lucky Hit - allows every hit made by Charm and her opponent to hit for thirteen minutes.
4. Mirrored Misfortune - traps her opponents in a mirror for seven minutes. (if the mirror is broken her opponent is vanquished but they are pretty durable)
5. Lucky Drain - drains 91% of her opponents energy.
6. Helping Hand - summons one ally from within 91 feet of Charm and her allies.
7. Make a Wish - allows charm to make one wish and have it come true.

➔ FORTUNE'S FAVOR :: This is Charm's most powerful attack and allows her to see all the possible outcomes of every attack for the length of seven minutes and gives her a high chance of defeating her opponent within that time frame. This makes her extremely lucky but is also extremely draining and can only be used once per transformation (she can also only use it if she has not called forth Wheel of Fortune)
➔ ITEMS/WEAPONS :: Charm does not possess any weapons although she does have a few items (mostly her Lucky Charms) that all hang from a pouch upon her waist and are activated when necessary. Her transformation device is a glass pendant with a gold chain and a four leave clover pressed inside. She activates her transformation by calling out the phrase "Lucky Days are coming your way! Charm Transformation!"

However riches didn't quite make up for the horrible attitude of her husband and she committed suicide rather than risk living a life of misery. Over her years of being a Mascot she has mentored many girls and while she does feel a little sad when they inevitably fall she feels little remorse for recruiting them in the first place.

Similar to Lucky's Lucky Charms,they involve the use of her Hatter's Cards,
she draws one at random,she can only use three per transformation,it can be any of these:

1. One Eyed Royals: The Jack of Spades,the Jack of Hearts,and the King of
Diamonds,are often called the 'One-Eyed Royals',because they,unlike the other face
cards (which show their full faces),these three only show one side of their face,making
it commonly believed that they are one-eyed.She pulls out the three cards and stacks
them,she then shuffles them,spreads them about,and throws them at her enemy,this
is her weakest card trick,if one card sticks,it will slightly impair the vision of the
enemy.If two cards stick,then the enemy will be blind in one eye,or half-blind.If,on the
rare occasion that all three cards stick,the enemy will be blinded temporarily.
2. The Flower Queen: The Queen of Clubs,is often shown holding a flower.She
is often called the 'Flower Queen'.This is Hatress's second strongest attack,though it
is still very weak compared to the others.She throws the card up in the air,and claps her
hands together twice,she then catches the card in her left hand,and it turns into the
flower that the queen in the card was holding,she tears the petals off and throws them,
they rain down over her enemy,each petal does a small amount of damage,depending
on how many hit the enemy.
3. Black Lady: The Queen of Spades is the only Queen shown holding a scepter.
Therefore,she is often called 'The bedpost queen' or more commonly 'Black Lady' because
of the black spade she rules over.Hatress takes out the card and forms her hands into
a gun like shape,with both her pointer fingers sticking up,holding the card in between.
The card pulses twice,and then turns into the scepter that Queen holds,the scepter can
produce a shield which can withstand 3 attacks from the enemy.
4. The Man With the Ax: The King of Diamonds,unlike the other three kings
who are armed with swords,he is armed with an ax.This is why some people call him,
'The Man with the Ax'.After pulling the card out she drops it,it lands on one corner,
and begins to glow blue.The card then turns into the ax that the king was holding,and
can be used three times.
5. Bullets: Aces are often called 'Bullets',so when she pulls out these four cards
they turn into what seems to be your average pistol.It has four bullets in it,one for each
of the Aces.
6. Suicide Kings: The King of Diamonds and the King of Hearts are called the
'Suicide Kings',The King of Diamonds is shown holding an ax,and pointing the blade towards
his own head.While the King of Hearts is shown with a sword behind his head,making
him appear to be committing suicide,like the King of Diamonds.She pulls the two cards
out,she holds on in each hand,in between two fingers,her pointer and her middle.She
crosses her arms,and straightens them out ejecting the two cards at her enemy,this is
a one shot attack,but the cards do quite a bit of damage if they hit.
7. Lordly Swords: This is the strongest of the card tricks.Three of the kings are
armed with swords,the King of Clubs,the King of Hearts,and the King of Spades.She pulls
out the three cards,stacks them up,and then spreads them out in midair.She sends them
flying towards her enemy,and each one turns into a short sword,and locks onto her enemy.
This card is rare to draw,so she isn't able to use it a lot.

➔ POWER -- Tea Party

A black teacup with white Diamonds,Hearts,Spades and Clubs on it appears in her
hand.She turns it upside down to reveal that there is nothing in it,supposedly.Then she
takes it in her right hand and slings the cup forward,releasing tea that hadn't been in
the cup before.The tea freezes in midair,and then changes directions,and charges at her
enemy.It can be used as a distraction,but if it hits then it does do some damage.

➔ POWER UPGRADE -- Tea Party Reunion

The same black teacup appears in her hand,she drops it,breaking the cup in 4 sharp
pieces.Each piece has a different card suit on it,and the tea spills out,but then,it animates
like the first,regular attack.It lifts off of the ground,shards and all,and goes spinning
towards the enemy,the shards increase the chance of hitting the enemy,and do more damage.

➔ POWER -- Hatter's Blade

She tips her hat and winks,taking it off of her head,she pulls it in like you would
prepare to throw a Frisbee.She throws the hat,again like you would a Frisbee,and sends it
spinning towards her enemy,about halfway there,five long,knife-like blades appear coming
from the brim of the hat.The hat can circle the enemy a maximum of three times completing
the attack by returning to her like a boomerang landing neatly on her head,as she bows and
smirks.

➔ POWER -- Hat Trick

She takes her hat off of her head once more,and like a normal hat trick would go,she
sets it down in midair.Swishing her hand gracefully over the hat,and reaching inside,she
pulls out a long spear.The head is shaped like a diamond,and there is a red heart,a green
club,and a blue spade on the golden base.She can attack five times with this weapon,
before it disappears.

➔ FINISHING MOVE -- The Death Card

Her finishing move is called the Death Card,because the Ace of Spades,the
highest card in a deck.She takes the card and watches as it turns into a black scythe,
like the midnight black color of a spade.With one swift swipe of the scythe she
attacks the enemy,and kills it,which is why this is known as her finishing move,she
only uses it when she knows that the enemy is near death.

➔ ITEMS/WEAPONS --

Her items include the following:

Hatter's Cards: These are the cards that she uses for her primary attacks,
they are used for all of her card tricks,and her finishing move 'The Death Card'.
Hatter's Hat: Of course,every Hatter and Hatress has their own hat,and hers
is used to store all of her items,and in the move 'Hatter's Blade'.
Card Suit Spear: This is the golden based spear,used in her 'Hat Trick' attack.
Card Suit Teacup: The black teacup with the white card suits on it,used in her
'Tea Party' and its upgraded attack 'Tea Party Reunion'.
Club Queen's Flower: Used in her card trick 'The Flower Queen',this is the flower
that she tears the petals off of,and uses to shower her enemy in.
King of Diamond's Ax: The ax she uses in her card trick 'The Man with the Ax',
belonging to the King of Diamonds,one of the Suicide kings.
Black Lady's Scepter: The Queen of Spade's Scepter,that she uses in her card trick,
'Black Lady'.
The Three Lordly Swords: The three swords used in her card trick 'The Lordly Swords',
in which she throws the King of Clubs,Spades,and Heart's swords at the enemy.
The Ace's Pistol: The pistol used to fire the four Ace bullets in her card trick 'Bullets',
referring to the Ace cards alternate name.
The Death Card's Scythe: The black scythe belonging to the Ace of Spades,
used in her finishing move 'The Death Card'.
Hatress's Ring: She uses a ring to transform,her phrase goes as follows:"Madder than a Hatter,Hatress Transform!"

» ＬＵＣＫＹ ＣＨＡＲＭ «

Orange hair shone in the twilight as the bright orange and green clad magical girl known to the people of Saxon as Lucky Charm leapt onto one of the trees surrounding the Hall of Virtues. She was out tonight with her Mascot Kigi, her partner Mad Hattress, and her partner’s Mascot Tricksy. The group were patrolling the grounds in preparation for the appearance of a “Reaper Demon” what she liked to call the demons that showed up in the days following a magical girl’s passing. She had actually been pretty friendly with the girl who died, an older magical girl named Razzle Dazzle who had helped her get situated when she first came to the Hall with Kigi. It had been really sad to see the normally upbeat and fun loving girl slowly lose herself in the past year and when she had finally fallen it had almost been a relief to know that she was finally able to rest in peace.

Charm had even volunteered to do the patrol for the Reaper Demon that would show up after Dazzle’s death. So far it was pretty early in the patrol and she hadn’t seen anything unusual. She settled for looking around to see if she could spot her partner. She also looked below her to find her Mascot crouched below her, “Can you see the others Kigi? It’s starting to get dark so we should the demon soon.” Charm called out to her companion in as soft a voice as she could manage and be heard. She also kept an eye out on the lengthening shadows this tended to be around the time when demons struck and she didn’t wish to be caught off guard. Sure enough before her companion could respond a blue figure burst from the shadows near the southern half of the forest and exploded into view in the waning light. It was blue with a vaguely female look and multiple arms. Each arm was currently holding a crackling ball of energy that the demon threw in the direction of the Hall of Virtues.

Charm took that as her cue to spring into action leaping from the trees with a cry of “Lucky Clover!” causing two bright clovers of light to form around her hands and shoot at her opponent. The creature gave an earsplitting shriek but refocused on Charm instead of attacking the Hall which had been her intention. She was quick to dodge a return attack as she called out her attack again and shot two more Lucky Clovers at the demon. They hit but seemed to do little damage instead they were absorbed into the demon’s flesh and the next thing Charm knew she was dodging bright balls of blue lighting.

She continued to dodge and do her best to use only her weakest attack in an effort to stall until her partner showed up. If the creature could absorb energy attacks then she was going to have to use her Charms, the Wheel, or Favor and neither of those would work without some form of backup on hand. So she kept dodging and shooting largely useless lights. She did try not to attack the creature directly only enough to keep it distracted. As she did she kept half an eye out for the rest of her group for assistance.

The young lady's blonde ponytail swung heavily behind her,yet her hat stayed perfectly snug on her head.She had been patrolling like normal,with her mascot she had gotten to the far side of the Hall of Virtues when she heard the familiar sounds of a demon.Now she was running to aid her partner,not even glancing backwards to check and make sure her companion Tricksy was following her,assuming that she was.She hadn't known much about the Magical girl that died in the days prior.Of course,being a Magical girl herself,she couldn't avoid hearing rumors about Dazzle,but she had never seen her in person.Apparently Lucky had been fairly close with her,and when her partner volunteered to be on patrol,Hattress had followed in her footsteps.

She arrived on the scene,watching closely as the blue creature absorbed Charm's attack.Knowing her friend needed a bit of help,she quickly took off her hat,and winking."Hatter's Blade!" She said,throwing the hat,and watching the familiar knife-like blades appear from the brim.The hat circled the demon once,getting only one good hit in before the creature swatted it away,and sent it flying and landing back on her head.Not much damage had been done,but a little was better than nothing,now standing beside her partner,Hattress continued to focus on the creature.

"Sorry I'm late!" She called quickly to her friend,narrowly dodging one of the crackling blue light orbs that the demon threw towards her.She waited for Charm to say,or do something.She noticed Kigi sitting and watching Charm,Kigi normally sat on the sidelines and watched until she was urgently needed,so this wasn't something new for either of them.

The waning light glinted on the red and orange fur of a bipedal vixen as she made her way through the Hall of Virtues. She was aware that there would be a fallen demon attack later in the evening and her current charge and her charge’s partner had been tasked with defeating her. Tricksy was making her way across the grounds at a quick jog to the other Mascot waiting in the wings. She watched her charge’s partner send useless bits of light at a demon already composed of light. It did make for some pretty explosions and Tricksy wouldn’t deny being impressed with the ball lightening being tossed about. She finally landed next to her fellow Mascot. She was waiting for a chance to disorient the mind of the fallen demon with a bit of fox-fire.

Unlike some Mascots Tricksy loved using her abilities and joining fights. Usually in an amusing way but she would let the girls have their fight first. Her charge’s opening attack did manage to hit the creature but the demon did little other than swat it away and refocus on the girls. It sent out two blasts of lightning causing both girls to dodge and Tricksy to whip out her stick wand and shoot a bit of fox fire at the demons face with a mischievous laugh. The glowing lights danced around the creature’s head and disoriented it for a moment catching the demon in a hallucination that would give the girls time enough to coordinate an attack.

» ＬＵＣＫＹ ＣＨＡＲＭ «

Charm was dodging balls of glowing lightning and taking the occasional hit when she was finally joined by her partner and her Mascot. She saw the familiar hat come flying and settled onto the ground panting slightly. While her Lucky Clovers were not particularly taxing dodging attacks at a rapid pace did leave it’s toll. She watched the Hat’s Blades circle the demon and saw one hit before the demon swatted it aside.

Soon after her partner landed neatly beside her and Charm gave her a tired smile, “Thanks for the assist. This demon is definitely not something I was keen on facing alone. I was thinkin- watch out!” Charm started before the demon shot two large balls of lightning at them. Charm leapt to the left and grabbed her Lucky Charms in case she needed a quick shield. But luckily no one seemed to have gotten hurt and shortly after the attack she saw proof of Tricky’s arrival by her signature blue balls giving the girls a chance to regroup briefly. Charm was quick to take the chance and leap back over to her partner and outline a brief plan.

“Alright my Clovers are useless so I’m thinking of using Wishbone, Cat, Horsehoe in that order. Then finishing off with the Wheel. This will keep it slow and distracted so we can hopefully finish it off quickly. Sounds good?” Charm asked as the balls of light keeping the creature distracted faded and it gave a furious shriek and set lightening at the two Mascots. Charm shot forward towards Kigi grabbed the small fox and taking a hit to the back that knocked her over and left her dazed on the ground. Should have put Horseshoe first but she had given her friend an outline and it was best to stick to it so that Hattress knew which of her own tricks to use.

So she coughed and rolled as the demon advanced grabbing her charms and calling out in a raspy voice, “Lucky’s Charms! Luck of the Wishbone!” while breaking the wishbone charm off of her waist and holding it up as it glowed. She snapped it in half and called out hurriedly, just as the demon raised it’s hand for another attack, “I wish the demon was frozen!”. The demon seemed to move in slow motion as it attempted to throw off the attack but the magic of the wishbone held and it eventually slowed to a frozen standstill. Charm slumped to the ground and tried to catch her breathe as she waited for her partner to take advantage of the temporary state and levy an attack.

Dodging the oncoming ball of light from the demon,she nodded briefly at her partner's simple outline of the plan.As she used Wishbone,Hattress gently took the hat off of her head,and reached inside,pulling out some of the familiar cards from her deck.Turning them around they revealed themselves to her,she had gotten the four Aces or 'Bullets' as they were often referred to.Luckily,she would be able to get a very clear shot as long as the demon was frozen.The cards turned into the sleek black pistol that she would always use for this trick.She shot straight forward,using the first bullet of four.

With swift feet,careful not to waste the remaining time that she had,Hattress ran to the left side of the demon,shooting another bullet.She stopped briefly at the back of the demon,to line up another shot.Finally she came around from the right and lined up with the demons skinny right side,she shot,using the last of her bullets.

She jumped back,skidding,now in line with her partner who was stuck catching her breath.Using those four bullets took some energy from her,though she didn't show it.Now,if the demon were to unfreeze at any moment,it was covered on all sides by at least one bullet.She threw the pistol up in the air and in a quick flash of light,it disappeared,turning into the four aces.She took off her hat ones more and dropped them insides,so that they would be there for another time.

The mascot had been sitting by patiently watching her girl throw useless balls of light at the demon.Eventually the girl's partner,and fellow mascot appeared just in time to aid her own.Tricksy used a bit of fox fire that she saw coming,and Charm used her wishbone to freeze the demon.Afterwards Hatress shot around four bullets,surrounding the frozen demon.It was a typical battle,though Kigi decided to wait and use her special howl,until it was absolutely necessary.

From her point of view,there was no need wasting it at the beginning of the battle,when the worst from this demon was yet to come.She waited,watching as the demon unfroze,with fast reflexes the demon moved and swatted the bullet from the right side away.The movement caused the one Hatress had placed on the left to only skim the demon's shoulder.Yet,the two remaining bullets ,from the front and back,pierced it.The demon let out another terrible,angry shriek,and turned to the girls.Prepared to send something horrible their way.
