ＬＥＴ'Ｓ ＧＥＴ ＲＥＡＤＹ ＴＯ ＲＵＭＢＬＥ！

Welcome to Founders Academy, on the outside it seems to be a pretty straightforward place. It's a school for "the outcasts
of society" those with powers or abilities that separate them from the average public find a home and education here. It was
founded over forty years ago by a wild child with a lucky streak who felt that everyone deserved to be able to live their live freely.
She opened the doors to anyone who showed up on the campus and somehow or another those who needed the school always
seemed to find their way. But the old founder is getting on in the years and the acting headmistress has a slightly different
take on how the school should be run.

It's still a school for outcasts and it still gives them an education but now the school has taken less of a hands on approach
to learning and more of a military academy feel. The kids at the school are paired up every year into groups of two or three
at random and put through training missions to help them learn to harness their specific skills. At the end of their training
they are given jobs within various government agencies (or occasionally go on to be vigilantes, mercenaries, or career criminals
depending on personality and skill set). The school has become something a little less free than the founder intended but
oddly enough many of the core principals still remain. The kids are still getting a home and something like a family among
their peers they're just getting it while learning to work in a more militant environment.

Whatever the purpose or intention behind the school it matters little, a new year has begun and once again it's time to pair
up and start working on missions. To help students learn to work with a wider variety of people each team is chosen at
random every year. The students are also put in ranks based on their level of mastery of their particular skills and abilities
(determined by a special test given during the summer for new students). Each team is given a faculty adviser that is in charge
of giving out specific missions over the course of the year. Students are also houses within the same dorm room for the year
although partners of different sexes are given adjoining rooms and strictly forbidden from fraternizing.

ＭＩＳＳＩＯＮＳ

students are expected to attend the opening day orientation speech held by the Headmistress in the Main Academy building's Auditorium. Afterwards they will find their team assignment envelopes in the rank tables set up outside Auditorium. There are long tables set up by rank where faculty members will hand out envelopes containing the following information : Training Schedule, new Rank Badge, a slip to visit the school's outfitters if necessary for new uniforms, Dorm Assignment and key, Training Partner (with photo attached to make them easier to identify), and Faculty Adviser (again with photo attached).

After receiving their orientation envelopes kids are encouraged to go to their dorms to meet their new teammates. Each Dorm room is set up with two to three bedrooms surrounding a small common area and a little kitchenette. There are communal bathrooms typically serving about 6 kids in total each.

Aidan idly flipped through a handful of his homemade cards. They each had an element or physical ability engraved on them in stylized ink and held whatever element was pictured on them within them. He was stuck in the Auditorium listening to the Headmistress drone on as usual in the standard orientation speech. Having been at the school for four years already (because he repeated first year) he had heard the speech before and had no desire to listen to it again. He did look around trying to spot some of his old partners from previous years but didn’t see anyone that rang a bell right off the bat. Instead he shuffled his cards and gave a pretty girl looking his way a cocky wink. She rolled red eyes and playful shot out a flick of fire from her fingertips but Aidan wasn’t fazed.

Finally after a long eternity the speech was over and Aidan muscled his way through the crowds to the Rank 3 table and waited in line for his turn to get his orientation packet. He again kept his eye out for someone he recognized and managed to catch the eye of his first freshman partner, also a Rank 3 this year, he gave the other boy a wave and a arrogant eyebrow lift, to which he got a unimpressed stare and a half-hearted finger in return. Well looks like there were no fond memories there, but Aidan wasn’t too worried. Instead he made his way to the front of the line and gave his name and was given his packet. He walked off into the campus grounds tearing open the envelope as he went. He glanced briefly through his dorm assignment and training schedule and made a note to visit the school’s outfitters for some new uniforms, he had hit a growth spurt during the summer and his current uniforms were feeling a little pinched. He also fished out his new armband and put it on his left bicep as usual.

He then took a good look at his new advisor, he seemed to have gotten stuck with the Tech teacher this year. She was okay if a little sarcastic but he figured they’d do alright and it better than last year with the bitchy home ec instructor. His new partner got an eyebrow raise, a pretty blonde. He had only had one other female partner previously and she had been a useless and whiney b*****. Hopefully this new girl would be a better person to work with. It wasn’t like he thought girls couldn’t fight as he had grown up with a feisty red-haired sister that kind of terrified him a little. It was just in his experience Ginny was the exception not the rule. But there was nothing he could do about it now so he continued on his way to the dorm lugging his suitcase and duffle bag with him.

When he arrived he made his way to the second floor room 208 where he looked around his home away from home for the year. The facilities were slightly nicer than the Rank 2 dorms and worlds better than the Rank 1 dump. The common room with it’s two comfy chairs and small TV looked in good repair and the kitchenette with it’s microwave, small fridge, hot plate, and handful of cabinets was decent. He peaked into the two rooms and saw he was the first one to arrive so he picked the best view and set his stuff down. He would be getting his bedding and stuff mailed out later in the week but for now he was stuck with the standard gray blanket and white sheets. He also had a small dresser, a desk and chair, and sturdy bed. He started off with tossing his clothes in his drawer as he waited for the sound of his new roommate to arrive.
