After a major battle between nemesis' Wild Card and Shift, the villain is supposedly defeated and Chester can now take on to a normal life amongst normal society with a new identity and raising a family that he always longed to have in peace. During those years, Atticus had taken a break as well from villain work and decided to do the same thing. A few years pass, and the now single fathers have to deal with their children's education and teach them how to control their inherited gifts, but just as natural as their powers, the teenagers find out that they both have an unexplained hatred towards each other. And it was a complete accident to put them in the same school where the superior parents have to deal with each other once again.

Camilla smiled at her science teacher as the woman gushed over what a helpful child she was to stay after class and help with the clean up. Camilla had done it for her own benefit of course but it never hurt to reinforce her helpful and innocent little girl persona. Especially as it made dodging the rare accusation about “evilness, I’m telling you the girl’s evil” so much easier. Still the extra bit of repetitive behavior gave her a chance to brood over the boy that had been setting her teeth on edge lately. One of the egotistical jocks that she normally avoided entirely if only to keep her own sanity, this one was proving even more aggravating then the usual lot. There was just something about him that had Camilla on edge. She had tried to discuss it with her father but he got this peculiar look on his face and only told her to keep an eye on the boy. So here she was brooding while tuning out the idiot teacher and trying to come up with some way to uncover the boy’s secret.

She had thought about attempting to use her power to advantage but it had taken her long enough to gain enough control not to randomly mimic her surroundings and she wasn’t about to offset the delicate balance she lived in for a bit of snooping. Unless the boy proved dangerous which was laughable to even contemplate. But it never paid to be unprepared so she had brought some spare bits of material along in her small purse. Bits of metal and the like that she could use to call up an armor of sorts if things went dicey. With a sigh and a shake of her head she smiled brightly to her teacher and left her classroom vowing to stop the useless brooding and get down to the practical side of things. To begin with tracking down the idiot boy to see if she could observe whatever it was specifically that set him apart from the rest of the human trash.

She made her way through the halls of the school with her usual smile and greeted the humans with polite words and friendly greetings all the while keeping an eye out for her latest project. She didn’t find him right off the bat but she stationed herself towards the entrance of the school and peered around before she caught site of him in the distance. He seemed busy so she waited patiently perhaps she’d be able to follow him for a time get a better feel for him.

He had expected a much more hostile answer, but Milo did not relax. The boy stood a bit taller and looked downwards towards the girl; he saw that he was a couple of inches higher than her. He kept his charming little smile on his face and replied with a slight jerk of his head to clear his blonde bangs from his eye, "Do I look like the type of guy to keep in homework dates?" he asked with a slight tilt of his head and a grin.

He could probably get something out of her if he played along with her game until he hit a nerve, Milo felt the room's temperature slowly diminishing and he clenched his fist to control himself; and like a certain magic, the temperature stopped descending. Milo hoped that wasn't so obvious, he gave a light shiver and rubbed his left forearm with a light shiver, "Gosh, is the air conditioning malfunctioning or something?" he said with a light laugh. Milo noticed that she was clutching at that purse in her hands, and he automatically wondered what was inside. He was beginning to think that his own ideas about her being a super hero were false because she looked so innocent with the little smile and cute looks, Milo did not drop his guard however, he was ready to send a gust of wind in her direction if something were to happen unexpectedly.

Camilla followed the idiot boy for short time before he took notice of her and spent that time trying to puzzle out the reason for her hackles to rise whenever he was in close proximity. He was only a boy after all and hardly likely to be any great danger to her father (she didn't think) but he rubbed her all the wrong way and she got the nasty sense he might be a hero of some kind. Or at least on his way to being one. Ooh she wished she could consult that delightful little handbook she had found years ago on how to be proper overlord. She had found it while doing some school work and had been so amused by it she had spent a good sum of money to have it converted into a lovely little handbook that she had gifted to her father on father's day. He had seemed at least amused by it although number 19 had gotten a raised eyebrow. She had of course sniffed in disdain and assured him she would never be so stupid as to betray him for a "rugged physique".

But again she digressed there was just something about the boy that had her wishing she had some kind of clear cut plan of attack. When he turned to face her with a charming little smirk she felt her own face morph from it's usual pleasant mask to something a bit more natural a haughty look. But it was the sudden cold draft that entered the room when he drew breathe that had Camilla straightening minutely and narrowing her eyes before remembering her training and smoothing out her expression into one of polite interest. The boy was definitely not human. She didn't know who he was or what precisely his powers were but she was not all but positive he had to be some kind of super. Nothing else made sense, from her father's peculiar warning to the odd feeling that came over her whenever he was near. But unfortunately without further research she was at a bit of a disadvantage. Her power being largely reactionary and this being a far to public place to risk exposing them without a clear upper hand. The best thing to do was fish for information while at the same time keep her back to the wall and her hand tight around her purse. "Hello. You're Milo right? I think we have third period together. Um, I was wondering if you got down the due date for that project we were assigned? I seem to have lost the paper that I wrote it on and I'd hate to get a poor grade." She said tucking her head slightly and willing a slight blush to her cheek. But still she kept her eyes steady on him, trying to gauge his reaction to her little ploy.

Well of course the stupid boy wouldn't know the homework date. Darn there went that line of questioning. Camilla was steadily getting more and more antsy about this entire situation and if it weren't for the fact that he had thus far showed only a rather vague ability over air she would have attacked by now and damned the consequences. If she moved fast enough she could usually deliver a strong blow with the right backing that would leave her opponent disoriented enough for her to move to more favorable ground. But father took a dim view of attacking rashly and Camilla herself always had the vague thought of it being a touch unladylike. And worse if the boy was strong enough in his wind abilities he might prove too fast to attack head on in which case she would show her hand with little to know back up. As she re-calculated the rooms temperature began to drop, darn maybe it was freeze powers? Well that would leave metal out but maybe if she went with a restrictive fabric? But no because he wasn't breathing the cool out and fabric could still freeze if he got cold enough. If only she was better at elements she might attempt heat but she was nowhere near that level of advancement. Then a struck of luck the idiot was playing along. Alright now to use that to her advantage, maybe if she went a little obvious and dropped something? If she could just get him close enough for a well placed hit. It might not knock him out but it would disorient him enough for her to subdue him.

It was time to take a more proactive approach, she needed answers and she needed them fast. Especially if he had some kind of partner or something hanging around town, father would most definitely be interested in knowing if supers where starting to infest the neighborhood. Not that they were meant to go about using their powers anymore but she had heard enough stories of the heroic types not to credit them with a great deal of intelligence. Which would hopefully mean the little baby-hero would fall for her ploy and she'd be able to get some answers. So she made sure to nod and shiver and before she could respond to his stupid story she "dropped" her purse blushing harder and reaching down to pick up the scattered bits and bobs that had fallen out quickly grabbing the shard of metal before he could see it she held her breathe and hoped this particular wannabe had gotten the "chivalry" lesson down pat. However just in case she hammed up her preformance a little with a direct request. I'm so sorry! You're right it is cold my fingers must have slipped. You don't mind picking up that bracelet do you?"[b]
she asked pointing to a "friendship" bracelet she kept in her purse largely for decoration.

Milo observed Camilla slowly as she shivered, his instincts were burning to do something to harm or contain her in some way, he was certain that he had the advantage, and if he wasn't then Miss Waters certainly was an excellent actress. Milo thought quickly; if she was some sort of super powered cute blonde, why was she following him? The answer could be something like because they were the same or whatever, but were they the same? That offered even more suggestions. And even if she did had powers, why wasn't she using them or something, Milo bit his tongue inside his mouth. Was she just playing a little game to get him at some sort of disadvantage? Was that it? He felt amazingly stupid and helpless, his gut feeling was telling him to attack her or do something to get away, but Camilla played intelligently, Milo couldn't tell if she was actually just some wannabe who wanted his number. What would his super hero father do? Milo thought the answer was too far since he didn't really get to know his father that well, especially how he would react in this type of odd situation.

As the purse fell and clattered the girl's possessions to the floor. Still, instinct drove Milo into narrowing his eyes and slowly bending down to help the girl with her fallen things, he was actually feeling nervous now with all these questions bumping around in his head. Milo prepared the air around him; the oxygen around his hands froze and glued discreetly onto his palm, just in case of an attack, Milo would lunge out and grab whatever limb she struck with and temporarily stop her with the sheer cold of the frost. He was slowly reciting all the dodging moves that his dad had made him repeat several times, Milo was now thanking his father and hoping he would be able to tell him these curious events. At Camilla's request he looked up at her; his irises were literally swirling; the blue became an icy gray, Milo didn't know they did that until he was freezing air currents in the bathroom when he was eleven and noticed his eyes in the mirror. He thought this cool, but now Milo was cursing them; afraid they might give him away, so he looked down towards the bracelet, "Sure," he replied slowly while reaching out his hand and picking up the decorative bracelet.

Camila gave a hidden smirk so at least the wanna be hero had been taught how to "treat a lady" which meant phase one of her plan was a success. She could feel her skin beginning to itch and warm as her powers finally kicked in. Unfortunately a rather glaring set back was that her powers were extremely eye-catching in transition. Once the transition was complete she became essentially invisible or encased in some kind of armor or outer shell, depending on how she used her powers. This time she was going for outer shell as focused her powers on the metal in her hand not her clothes or anything else she was wearing. It did tend to slow the process a little but it also meant her attention was divided as the boy slowly lowered himself towards her even if it was only briefly. Thus she missed the brief glimpse of Milo's eyes but did managed to catch his whispered affirmative and saw his hand reach for her bracelet. By this point her powers had properly kicked in and the transition as always was nearly instaneous once her powers assimilated the "material" she was mimicking. She had once likened it to watching an octopus blend into it's surroundings as the change was fast and involved her whole body rather than the largely cosmetic changes of her name-sake. Stil before her skin had even fully shifted into a metal form she shot her metal fist forward aiming to put the boy off balance with a strong whack to the head.

Milo raised his head once he had the bracelet in hand, and then he saw it; the girl had seemed to put on some sleek metal outfit that looked as if it coated her entire body. The boy gasped in pain as he felt her fist encounter his head, he was sent backwards by the blow, it would've made any person faint, but Milo wasn't exactly a human. It was so much stronger than a normal human fist, Milo was sure of that, so Camilla's metal 'outfit' wasn't an outfit at all. He dropped the bracelet and the boy growled in pain and stood up shakily but fast enough while backing away down the corridor, his vision was blurred and he quickly sent out a large cloud of fog from the frost on his palms; raising them and making them spread until there was only a thick cloud of cold in between him and the girl. Milo swore softly; how was he so stupid, but he knew it was all the girl's fault for being so sneaky and him so ignorant for falling for it. He shook his head once again and his vision returned, he quickly stood into a somewhat ready position and whirled his hands around, the air around him started to take form as it steered in dust from the hallway and loose papers from neighboring ones. He was going to be in so much trouble if someone were to catch him; not with the school staff but with his dad who could easily become something he wasn't just like Camilla had, and that was a very angry man that shouldn't ever be made a fool of or treated other wise. Milo readied himself, the fog was a good idea for it was thick and he was having trouble seeing himself, he waited for Camilla's slender form to appear so he could toss in the small tornadoes that were starting to form and become just behind his elbows.

Camilla smirked in victory looked like her ploy had worked at least until the idiot boy managed to summon a thick fog cover and she was left all but blinded. Damn elementalists, always with their stupid intangible powers. Wind was the worst especially for someone whose own powers largely depended on physical contact. If she couldn't touch she anything solid she was essentially helpless and of course wind users would life people into the air like puppets without strings. But she did have an idea from his fog, camouflage. She still had a hold of her purse thank goodness and while several of her odds and ends had flown away she did have one emergency object that was even more useful than her metal fragment. A small bag of putty that would hopefully be enough to trap him temporarily and at least drag things into a standstill where she could interrogate the wannabe on what he thought he was doing in her school.
Next stage how to get close to him. Her best bet was to go low and attempt to camouflage herself into the floor. If she moved fast enough at ground level he would hopefully not realize she was about to attack. If not at least blowing someone away who was already close to the ground would be more difficult to blow her away. So she wrapped her hand around the putty and before her hand could shift too much she slammed her other hand to the ground and her body shifted until it was the consistency of linoleum and she attempted to slink across the ground quickly. It was awkward and had she been human it would have looked like she was sliding on her belly but with her body mimicking her surroundings it looked more like parts of the floor where moving back and forth.
She managed to make it close to him by sticking low but unfortunately the fog provided too good cover and she ended up flailing blindly for a leg while at the same time half shifting one hand to putty and she missed.
