"I don't care..." Alex whispered, a tear slipping down her cheek. "I just...I don't care anymore..."

It was Rex's turn to get his tattoo done, and he told the man exactly what he wanted. Pulling off his shirt, he gave Nella a scared look before the man put the needle to his skin.

Nella's breathing stopped and her eyes turned purple for a moment before she shook her head and, giving him a thumbs-up, said "you can do this!" crap, crap, crap!she thought, blushing. She hated how easily her eyes let her be read. Like an open book. (Twilight flashback.....)

"Hey," Ethan grabbed her hand, concern obvious in his epression and voice alike. He sat there for a moment, looking into her eyes "you can tell me, I promise - no judgement, okay?"

Rex's smile disappeared, and he bit his lip as the man worked. 'Oh God...' He thought, feeling pain overwhelm him, but standing still.

Alex looked at him, sniffling. She pulled him into a hug, talking into his ear. "Zane is an...old boyfriend of mine...but he scared me...he scared me so much that we moved as far away from that town as we could...but after all this time...he's found me again, and I'm...terrified of that grin that he always wears...it's not meaningful like yours it's...cruel and preditory...like an...owning grin..."

Nella flinched at the hidden pain on Rex's face, her eyes changing colors. She offered him her hand "squeeze when it hurts," she suggested.

Rex smiled, "It hurts the whole time." He chuckled as they finished the section the went down his arm, no working on his chest.

Nella sat, worried, on the edge of her seat - she couldn't lay down anymore.

Alex sighed, her fit finally dying down, and she panted softly. "Anyways, enough about me..." She murmered, unconspiciously placing her phone back into her pocket. "Let's just enjoy life, kay?" She said, "Thanks Ethan." Alex leaned over, kissing him on the cheek then took off into her room, shutting the door behind her.
