Alex pushed herself off of the bed, knocking on Ethan's door. "Ummm Ethan, can I come in?"

Ethan quickly brushed the remains of the pencil - and all traces of his anger - into his deskside garbage can "come in," he said.

Alex walked in, giving a light smile. "Ummm could I please have my phone back...?"

"sure. . " Ethan said, phone in his extending hand. . The he snatched it back "As soon as you tell me what's going on." he said with a smirk

Alex sighed, "I just want to text Nella." She said, sitting down at the edge of his bed, watching him with puppy dog eyes.

"okay. . " he said, almost a snare "here ya go." his grin deepened as he tossed her HIS phone........
Then regret hit him like a Diesel truck. "I'm sorry," he said sincerely, his eyes moist "but this-" he shook her phone "is on lock-down until I figure this out."

He truly did have good intentions - all he wanted to do was to protect Alex. And that is just what he intended to do.

Alex stared at him for a moment, then her eyes dropped down to his phone. "Ethan..." She murmered, but she got up, walking towards her room. She texted the boy she never thought she would ever speak to again, the memory etched into her brain. "Zane, what do you think you're doing." She whispered, laying down on her bed, burrying her face into her pillow.

Alex rested her head on her arms, staring at the light. She suddenly got up, getting in the shower. She could cry there, no one would hear her or see her. No one would ever know that her emotions existed. She hit the shower wall, pain etched in her features as she cried, blood slowly dripping from her fist onto the ground. She had cut it by accident against the sharp edge of the shower tile.
