"Do you think there is something we can do?"

[WinterWanderer]

"Not that I know of, sister Wave-eyes." The first shadow said, stepping into the moonlight between the cats. It was a small, swift, red she-cat with green eyes.

[Mist]

"Then why worry about them?" Wave-eyes asked.

[WinterWanderer]

"We must watch them. They are like kin to us." Said the second shadow, who stepped out next to the red she-cat. It was a large tom cat with a silver pelt.

[Mist]

"So I see," Wave-eyes meowed.

[WinterWanderer]

"Brother Flint-claw, Sister Fire-foot," A young, third cat stepped out in front of the two. "Is it not simply pointless?"

[Mist]

"It may be," Wave-eyes meowed.

[WinterWanderer]

Fire-foot growled. "You have no Idea what it is like to lose someone you love!" She snapped.

[Mist]

"Who's to say I don't," Wave-eyes growled.

[WinterWanderer]

She snorted.
