Having received a ride from one of his coworkers, Alec returned home at around dinner time. The sun was setting so they could no longer work. Walking inside the door, he couldn't wait to take off the dirty clothing he was wearing and change. Maybe he'd just take a shower and hop into bed.

[fly away.]

Bella was still sitting by the door, as she had been all day. When the door opened she looked up, hoping to see Caleb or the lady. But instead she saw Alec and sighed. "Hey Alec," she said, a bit disappointed. She wished that it had been Caleb but he hadn't come through the door all day.

Alec could tell that Bella was not enthused to see it was him that arrived. Instantly, his plan changed and he needed to find Eden. First, though, he plopped down on the ground in front of her. "Hey Bella. How are you doing?" he asked.

[fly away.]

"I'm okay, but Caleb hasn't come yet. I've been waiting ALL day." Bella sighed before giving a smile, "I'm sure he's just late, he'll be here soon. It's better that he was late because you'll get to meet him without having to leave work."

Alec smiled weakly at her. "Hopefully he will. Just remember that if he doesn't show up, you'll still get to see each other at some point." he reassured her. Patting her on the shoulder, he quickly stood up and headed towards their bedrooms. Eden might be in her room, reading or something. He walked up to her door and gave a quick knock.

"He will." Bella said as Alec walked off. Eden was in her room, sitting with her legs crossed and a book on her lap. When she heard a knock she bookmarked the book and said, "Come in." She was curious as to who it was but guessed that it was Alec.

Alec stared at the door in a daze for a moment before realizing it would be strange if he remained in the hall. Turning the knob, he slid into her room with a weary grin. "Hey Eden..." he started, walking over to her.

[fly away.]

"Hey Alec," Eden said with a smile. "How was work?" She questioned, she didn't move her position on the bed except to slide back so her back was against the wall. She was still in shock of her new room and not used to it, so her eyes caught everything, as if checking to make sure it stayed there.

Alec stood by her bed with the goofy grin still on his face. "Work was pretty good. Tiring, but it was a good work out. Hey, do you think you could help me with something?" he asked. If they could figure out where Caleb was, they may be able to make arrangements for a meeting. Bella had faithfully waited all day for a lie.
