“Gr-reat..” Boo added, with little to no sincerity, as he ringed his finger around his collar nervously. He didn't quite hear the announcers latest information on the newest set of doors, but how different could it be from the first? Hand in hand he lead Kaori through Candy Land. The sweet odors filled his very surroundings with amazing carved treats, although it wasn't it wasn't in it's full glory from the previous passing of the crowd, there was still quite a selection to chose from. He hesitated, perhaps Kaori would like to sample a few? He would at least have a few moments to peek into the next room, maybe with a few kiamaras scattered from room to room there wouldn't be such a crowd to deal with. The male opened his mouth in hesitation, before realizing there was no need to delay any longer. He stopped dead in his tracks to hear a thundering roar, it was dull, as if it was miles away, but it was enough. Why would they have such a sound in a ball? Boo whimpered to himself, looking to Kaori in a defeated glance. “W-well wh-where do you wan-t t-to go?” He asked, his voice shaking despite his attempts to cover his fear.

Maria

Maria couldn't help but indulge herself with the plentiful left overs, sampling daintily at the variety of sweets she carefully picked a sugar daisy, licking it gratefully, she turned her attention back to Molten. “Why have you tried anything sugar cube? There's enough in here for a pups lifetime!” She chuckled, “Now I wonder if Rosaline has fond this here treasure cove yet.. for the balls sake let's hope not..” Maria mentioned her young niece playfully. She walked causally along the pretzel fence, neglecting to take precaution of the spilled substance from the chocolate fountain. Her heart dropped as her slick high heels slid against the smooth surface, her arms instinctively wavering for a source of balance.

"Chat? S-sure." Zeera said, a little surprised. What were they even going to chat about? She made her way to the refreshments table, grabbing a some punch and taking a small sip.

Cari nodded and fell in line next to the Kiamara who's name was...something to do with water. River...no. Lake...nope. Ocean! Yes, Ocean. She hoped no one noticed her blush; it wasn't as if they could see into her mind, so it frustrated her to feel her cheeks redden. The tunnels were cool and moist, with beadlets of water gathering and dropping down to the stone floor. Little musical plinks and plunks echoed. Cari found it very soothing and it made less sense to her with each step that the danger of dragon would be nearby. It just felt like the abandoned mine shafts she used to explore as a child. She noticed Ocean's glance at her and was near enough to catch his softly-spoken words. She replied in an equally-soft tone of voice.
"Yes, your eyes do tend to get used to it. I bet the crystals would give off enough light that we'd be somewhat comfortable without a torch. I can't imagine it being pitch-black...that would be scary." She shivered a bit, remembering a time when she had lost her flashlight in one of the old mine tunnels. She had been lucky enough that her brother had his and had found her shortly. Chewing at a nail in a momentary fit of anxiety, she switched topics. "Where is this dragon though? I haven't heard or seen a single thing that makes me think one is here."

"Well... It would be the same as lying in bed, at midnight, right?' He said, reaching out and pulling her finger out of her mouth. "Don't chew on her fingernail, it can make you sick. And the Dragon? We don't really know, we've been walking for quite a while. I think its a trick, illusion. You know?" Ocean said, getting worried. He smiled and looked around, letting go of her finger.

Hermione smiled and gazed around the tunnel, waiting for it to open up into a cave. She turned around to look at Cari, then asked, "Would you like a weapon of any kind in case we run into the dragon?" She offered her, then took out her rusted dagger as an example.

Cari was very surprised when Ocean actually brought her hand down and away from her mouth. It was her first instinct to be offended, but as he explained his logic, she realized that it was true; also, she'd been trying to stop for a long time and now was just as good a time as ever. His touch made her fur prickle a bit. She was both relieved and oddly sad when he let go. It also made sense that the dragon might be an illusion. Maybe this was all one big practical joke. Hermione didn't seem convinced though; she brought out her rusted dagger and Cari found herself nodding.
"That might be a good idea, if only for basic self-defense. Maybe there's no dragon, but something else might want to try its luck with us. I would love a small sword or a shield. Maybe even an axe! I can't wait to write about this in my chronicles." She laughed and her eyes glittered in the torch-light. "Wait...if there is a dragon, doesn't that mean that there's a huge treasure nearby...?"

Hermione smiled. "Well, since we've been seeing the trickling stream of treasures such as jewels, crowns, and golden coin getting larger and larger, I assume that we will be finding the main treasure soon... and with it, the dragon!" She explained her theory, then gave a light laugh at the end. Hermione walked to the edge of the tunnel and scanned the area, searching for a shield or and axe. "So, Cari, you have chronicles?" She asked as she picked up a crown, then set it down to the side.

"Don't dragons hoard jewelry and shiny objects?" Ocean asked, glancing at Hermione and then back at Cari. He rubbed the back of his neck and said,"What if... This stuff is all its hoard and the Dragon is like huge. And the tunnels are like little cracks in the nest," He offered, grinning like a fool. Ocean decided to walk backwards and turned around, looking behind his back once in a while.

Nabiu laughed. "Let's go!" He squealed, running off towards the new door. He kept the chocolate branch with him, just in case he had to fight a halcyon, or even the dragon. Though, he was pretty sure he wouldn't beat a huge dragon with a stick.

"Hm.... interesting point." Hermione agreed, then picked up a very large axe. She smiled; it wasn't as rusty as her dagger. Perfect. She leapt down from the sloping sides of the tunnel, then ran up to join the trio. "Here you are, Cari." Hermione said, then flipped the axe around so that the handle was facing the red haired kia.
