Anna gazed at herself in the mirror nervously, fixing her hair and makeup for the thousandth time that evening. It was hers and Jamie's first official date, and she wanted everything to be perfect. She glanced at the clock. He should be here any minute to pick her up.

Jamie pulled up, and looked at himself in the visor mirror. After a second, he walked up and knocked.

As she heard a knock at the front door, Anna jumped up. "I'll get it!" she called loudly to her parents before rushing to greet her date. She opened the door and smiled. "Well don't you look handsome."

Jamie smiled and bowed playfully. "You look better," he said.

Anna smiled and blushed. "Oh hush, you. You're going to make me look like a tomato." She gestured to his car. "Shall we?"

"Your chariot awaits," he teased and waljed her to the car and opened her door.

Anna laughed. "Perfect." She followed him out and slid into the passenger seat. "Thank you."

"No problem," he said and sat in the driver seat and started the car.
