Emily kept her eyes down, not wanting to look at him. She bit her lip hard.

Sarah looked up and sniffled. "Hey guys," she said sadly.

Jack looked at Sarah. "Hey."

"I'm sorry, I was going to call you myself, but I..." Her voice broke mid-sentence and she swallowed hard. She shook her head slightly and shifted her gaze to JJ again as he laid in his bed, consumed by his state of comatose.

Jack shook his head. "It's alright, Sarah."

Sarah let out a slow, shuddering breath. She nodded slightly. "Thank you, Jack." She stood and walked over to him, wrapping her arms around her kind-of-uncle in a hug. She just needed to be comforted. The love of her life had slipped into a coma and doctors had no idea if he would ever come out of it.

Jack hugged her back and sighed. "It's gonna be okay," he said comfortingly.

Sarah sniffled and nodded slightly as she hugged him. "I hope so."

Jack nodded and rubbed her back. "He'll pull through. If not for anything else, he'll make it for you."

Sarah sniffled again. "I really hope you're right. I can't live without him."

"I know," he said and rubbed her back. "Do you want me or Cece to call your parents so they can be here for you?" He asked.
