When her brother was mentioned, Emily's frowned deepened. She walked slightly faster. "Is everything alright?"

"I don't know. Mom said she'll explain in the car," he said.

Emily bit her lip worriedly and climbed into the car.

Once everyone was in the car, Cecilie twisted in her seat to face all of them. "JJ was in a bad car accident, involving three cars. Two of them T-bones him and now they don't know if he's alright."

Jack sighed, glancing at everyone. "I'll get us therr as soon as possible."

Lelani gasped and covered her mouth.

Emily gasped.

Cecilie bit her lip. "I know. I'm just worried about him."

Jack nodded. "So am I."

Cecilie ran her fingers through her hair nervously. What if JJ wasn't okay? After all the time she'd spent thinking he was gone, she couldn't bear to lose him again.

Jack glanced at her and held out a hand for her to take.

Cecilie exhaled slowly and took his hand, lacing their fingers together. She offered him a weak smile of reassurance.
