Once they'd finally caught up a bit and even cried together, Sarah stepped back a bit. "I'm going to go check on JJ. I'll come back later, okay? I promise." She kissed Luke's forehead, then hugged Kris and Jamie.

JJ was sitting in his living room with his family.

Sarah headed to JJ's house and knocked on the door.

JJ got up and answered the door. "Hey baby."

Sarah smiled in relief. "Hey Jayje. How's everything on your end?"

"It's all good," he said. "And yours?"

Sarah nodded. "I think it's going to be okay. Dad is starting to recover."

"Good. Come here," he said and hugged her.

Sarah stepped forward and hugged him tightly, burying her face in his shoulder. She exhaled slowly.
