(Sure! (: )

Luke laid in bed, staring up at the ceiling with a stoic expression. He didn't have the energy to get up to get his medicine, nor did he want to. He knew he should get the medication, but something just didn't seem right about getting up to get some.

Kris was asleep next to him. She usually slept with her head on his chest. But she had tossed and turned a bit so now she had her back to him.

Not many understand the comfort I get when I walk into a bookstore and take a deep breath as I look around. I feel at home; I feel welcome. I don't have to purchase anything. Being surrounded by books fills me with a sense of security.

Luke slowly got to his feet and walked to the bathroom where his medicine was.

Kris rolled over, into his spot. That was a habit of hers.

Luke stared at himself in the mirror. Medicine or no medicine?

(Wait, what if this is another year and they come back because of Luke?)

Kris was sleeping soundly.

(Ooh good idea!)

Luke looked down at the medicine bottle in his hands, then stole a glance to Kris. He took a deep breath as he returned his gaze to the medicine. He knew what he had to do.

Kris stayed asleep, rolling over again. She muttered something but it just sounded like jibberish.

Luke took a deep breath, then just did it. A minute or so later he'd collapsed on the floor with a thud, not breathing. An empty medicine bottle was in his hand.

Kris was startled awake by a thud and she sat up. She looked ahead into the bathroom. "Luke?" She went in and knelt by him. "Oh god, no! Luke, wake up!" She pulled him upright. "Oh god," she sobbed as she tried to make him vomit the pills. She called the police and held the phone between her ear and shoulder as she kept trying.
