Sarah leaned up and kissed him back softly. She wrapped her arms around his neck.

Just then, of course, Luke walked down the stairs to see them. "If you could untangle yourself from my daughter, that'd be great, thanks."

JJ sighed. "I'm sorry. She had a bad day. If you want her to sit and cry all night that's your choice. I'm not going to let that happen though."

Sarah pulled away from the kiss and dropped her head to JJ's chest. She squeezed her eyes shut, knowing that this would mean nothing good. After a long moment, she pulled away from him completely and opened her eyes again. "Stop, Dad."

Luke shook his head. "No exceptions. You should know the rules by now. There are other ways for comfort, thank you very much."

"And how do you comfort Kris? I'm sure her father wouldn't appreciate that," he said.

"What I do with my wife is none of your concern," Luke snapped. "The fact is, I've told you thousands of times to stay away from my daughter in my house, and you continue to do this anyway. Sucking face in the living room doesn't make anyone feel better."

"It makes her feel better!" He said. "If she's happybwhy does it matter?!"

Sarah bit her lip. "Guys..." she began quietly, but Luke didn't hear her.

"Because she's my daughter! You can't kiss my daughter under my roof, and those are the rules! Sorry the rules don't suit you!" Luke threw his hands in the air in frustration.
