Sarah smiled against his lips and kept her arms around his neck, kissing him again.

JJ hugged her, smiling. Hanging out at her place with her dad meant hardly any hugs and he liked those as much as kissing.

Sarah smiled and hugged him back. She loved being able to hang out with him and be able to do whatever. It wasn't exactly like that at her own house anymore. She sighed happily.

JJ kissed her shoulder. "I love you."

Sarah smiled and nuzzled her face into his neck. "I love you too." She adored hearing him say that he loved her. It made her heart melt every time.

He smiled and just held her close.

Sarah closed her eyes, allowing herself to sit still and just be held by him.

After school a few months later, JJ waited for Sarah by his car. It was his birthday today.

Sarah walked quickly from the school with her head down, avoiding eye contact. Her hair curtained her face so that no one could see her crying silently. All she had to do now was manage to ride home with JJ without him noticing, and she was home-free. But it was his birthday, so that would be extremely difficult, considering she'd planned on hanging out with him for a while after school. When she reached the car, she kept her head down. She slid into the passenger seat.
