Sarah chuckled. "I was just thinking that." She began to scale a tree that was beside his window. Once she'd managed to get close enough, she stretched over and grabbed onto the windowsill, trying to pull herself in. "Harder than it looks," she said, grunting a bit with effort before finally managing to climb down into his room.

JJ nodded and helped her in. "Thanks for coming."

Sarah nodded. "Of course. You do it for me all the time, so it's only fair." She seated herself on the bed. "So spill. Are you alright?"

"I'm fine. Dad... dad's not," he said.

Sarah bit her lip. "What happened?"

JJ sighed. "I woke up at like four and he was crying. I guess he had a dream about the war. Does Luke have those?"

Sarah frowned. "Your dad was crying?" she repeated slowly. It was hard for her to imagine Jack crying. "Yeah, Dad gets those sometimes. It's scary when he does."

"What happens when he does?" He asked. "Mom's making him go get help.,

Sarah sighed and shrugged. "I guess Mom calms him down. He probably needs help, but no one's ever suggested it."

"I went in to check... he made me swear I wouldn't enlist. I just want him to be okay," he said.
