"Just worried about you. You seemed pretty upset over the phone," he said.

"Well, I've been better." Sarah sighed. "I'm so worried about my parents. They argue over the littlest things."

JJ laced their fingers. "Like what?" He asked.

"I don't know. Just stupid stuff. They get annoyed at the smallest things that didn't use to bother them." Sarah squeezed his hand gently and bit her lip.

JJ sighed, rubbing her hand. "What are ou you worried about happening?"

Carrie sniffed around Luke. She was old and had recently gon blind. The dog pawed at Luke, whining.

"I'm afraid they'll split up," Sarah admitted. "If my parents split up, I don't know what I'd do with myself."

Luke looked down at Carrie and smiled gently. "Hey sweetie," he murmured. "What's wrong?"

JJ sighed. "I wish I could help."

Carrie laid her head on his knees. She wanted Kris but didn't know where she was.

Sarah shook her head. "I know."

Luke scratched behind her ears gently. "Need Kris, sweetie?"

JJ kissed her head. "Wanna just relax and watch abmovie or go bowling like planned?"

Carrie whined agai in confirnation.

"I don't know. Let's just do something. I need to get my mind off of things." Sarah still leaned into him.

Luke nodded. "That's what I thought. C'mere, old girl." He smiled and stood, carefully scooping her up. He carried her upstairs to where he knew Kris was.
