"Yeah," he said and waited for them to carry her so he could get up.

The guy carefully scooped Cecilie up. He paused to wait for Jack, then turned and started heading to the truck that was waiting for them. "We've been searching for days," he explained. "We never thought we'd find you."

"We were starting to think we'd never be found," Jack said as he followed them.

The man nodded. "Yeah, we had some friends of yours report you missing. Good thing they did, too." He paused. "Are you hungry?"

Jack nodded. "Very." He looked at Cecilie.

Cecilie's eyes were closed. She just listened silently, still too weak to do much.

The guy nodded. "We can get you some food."

Jack nodded, staying close to his wife. He was so scared for her.

Once they'd reached the truck, the guy carefully placed Cecilie into the backseat. He and the other three guys climbed in anywhere else, but left room for Jack to sit by his wife. Cecilie curled up into Jack's side. She knew that he was scared and so was she, but there wasn't anything she could do about it. The guy began to drive.

Jack kissed her burning forehead and held her close. "We're gonna get you help baby."

Cecilie closed her eyes as he kissed her forehead. "We're safe," she whispered. A weak smile came to her lips. "You're safe." All she cared about was that he was safe; she didn't bother to think that she would be getting treatment soon, as long as he was okay.
