Kris kissed his cheek. "I'm sure they're delicious."

Luke smiled happily. He loved it when he complimented her. When she approved of something he did, it made him feel better than anything else. "I'm trying my best."

"You're succeeding," she said.

Luke's face lit up. "Good, I'm glad." He kissed her cheek again quickly.

She smiled and hugged him with one arm.

Luke pulled her close to his side, smiling to himself. He finished the pancakes and put them onto plates for the three of them.

Kris chuckled, and kissed him then went to put Sarah in her chair. She cut up the girl's pancake.

Luke watched her happily. "Need me to cut up your pancake too?" he teased her lightly.

"Nah, I think I'm old enough to eat like an adult now," she teased back.

Luke smirked. "Whatever you say, Kris."
