She nodded. "Go hold Sarah or something to calm down," she teased.

Luke chuckled and rolled his eyes. "Yeah, like that'd help."

"Never know," she said. "I love you."

Luke looked up at her and allowed a smile to cross his features. "I love you too, baby."

Kris smiled, rubbing his shoulder.

Luke smiled and leaned into her.

Kris smiled, and watched him.

Just then, the doorbell rang. Luke sprang to his feet and hurried over to the door. After composing himself, he opened the door.

Anne stood there, looking nervous and anxious at the same time. She didn't even get to say hello before Luke was hugging her tightly.

Kris had picked up Sarah, and she walked over. She smiled at the scene before her.

Anna stumbled slightly and stood in shock for a moment before hugging him back. "Hi Luke," she murmured.

"Hi Mom," he said, his voice muffled due to the fact that his face was in her shoulder.
