She kissed him back, and then hugged him.

Luke hugged her close once she pulled away, just glad that they were able to be happy again. The previous happenings of the day would definitely come back, but at least they had this time together to enjoy themselves.

Kris rubbed his back. She was glad they were happy too.

"So you doing okay?" Luke murmured.

"Yeah," she said. "I mean, it still hurts but," she shrugged.

Luke nodded. "I'm just glad you're okay."

Kris nodded. "I'm glad we're okay," she said as she dug her face into his chest.

Luke nodded and held her close. "Me too," he whispered.

(Sorry for my crappy writing recently...I can't seem to come up with any good descriptive words or string my sentences together correctly. I dunno, maybe it's because of winter break. Either way, I sincerely apologize for my lack of good writing lately.)

Luke smiled again lightly, holding her to his chest. Holding her like this would never get old.
