Jack amsiled and waited for the kids to get home.

Soon later, all three of the younger Larsens walked through the door. They set down their book bags at the kitchen table and started into the living room. When they saw Jack there, they ran forward and hugged him happily.

"You're back!" Emmy exclaimed.

Jack winced, but hugged them back, ignoring the pain. "Yeah, I'm back," he said.

"Guys, be careful, he's hurt," Cecilie told them as she noticed his wince. The kids eased up.

Emmy pulled back and grinned. "I can't believe it!"

Jack smiled. "Why not I'm right here," he teased.
