Cecilie nodded slightly, then leaned up and kissed him desperately, knowing that this would be the last time she'd be able to do so for a very long time.

He kissed her back the same way, holding her tightly.

Cecilie held him tightly, never wanting to pull away. But she knew that she had to, so she pulled back after a long minute. "Go," she whispered, opening her eyes and looking into his.

He kissed her head. "I love you," he murmured, and walked to the bus, looking back at her.

"I love you, amoureux," Cecilie whispered, then stood in the doorway and watched as he walked to the bus. She held a shaky hand over her mouth and let a tear slip down her cheek.

Jack blew her a kiss through the window.

JJ hugged his mother's leg.

Cecilie watched him and blew him a kiss back, her eyes sad. She stooped down and picked up JJ, holding her on his hip. "Wave to Daddy," she whispered in a quiet voice.

JJ waved to him, laying his head on her shoulder.

Jack waved back as the bus drove away.

As soon as Jack's bus had pulled away, Cecilie closed the door and buried her face in JJ's hair. She didn't know what she was going to do without Jack there. However, she couldn't cry. Not in front of JJ.
