Jack sighed and went to his room, laying on the bed.

Emmy flopped down on her bed, sad and upset.

Jack sighed, starting to tear up again.

Cecilie made her way upstairs after a few moments with her brothers. She walked to Jack and laid down beside him, wrapping her arms around his torso.

Jack put his face into her.

Cecilie held him closely. This time it was her time to comfort. "Shh," she whispered.

"She's so upset with me," he whimpered. "I tried to explain to her that I was drafted and if I refused, I'll be discharged and we'll loose the house, but she's still upset with me."

"It's not you that she's upset with," she murmured. "It's her way of dealing with her emotions, amoureux."
