Kristyna smiled, listening to him. She teared up, and nodded. "Yes," she said, kneeling to kiss him. "Yes, I will. I love you so much."

Jack went out to check the mail. He walked back in, frowning as he read a certain letter.

Relief washed through Luke's body like a tidal wave. He kissed her back, happiness blooming in his chest. "I love you so much," he whispered, hugging her. After a moment, he pulled back and slid the ring onto her finger gently.

Cecilie was inside, feeding JJ his lunch. The other kids were all at school.

"I love you too," she said, smiling. "It's perfect."

Jack walked into the kitchen. He'd called in today since he hadn't felt well. He finished reading, and he looked at his fiance and son. "Cecilie," he said quietly. He'd teared up because of the letter.

"Just like you," Luke murmured, hugging her again.

Cecilie looked up and smiled as Jack walked in, but when she saw his face, the smile instantly melted. She got to her feet and walked to him slowly, fear settling in her chest. "What's wrong?" she whispered, glancing at the letter. She already knew what it was from the envelope, but she didn't want to accept it. Her lower lip trembled. "Oh God, no, Jack, no."

Krstyna blushed and hugged him back.

Jack nodded, watching her. He pulled her into his arms. "I'm sorry, Cecilie. But I have to," he murmured into her hair. "I don't have to leave for a month, and I'll make it home," he said. "It'll be okay," he whispered, rocking her.

Luke kissed her temple. "I love you."

Cecilie hugged him tightly, starting to cry. She buried her face in his chest. "You can't go," she whispered into his shirt. "No, Jack, you can't."

Kris let out a happy sigh, and kissed his cheek. "I love you too."

Jack sighed. "Baby, I have to. I have no choice," he murmured, kissing her head.

Luke smiled and wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting her up as she stood. He spun her around, then set her on her feet again. "I don't deserve you," he murmured, kissing her cheek.

Cecilie whimpered. "No, you can't go, you can't leave me," she begged.

Kristyna kissed him. "Don't say that," she said.

Jack sighed. "Hey, baby look at me," he murmured, wiping her eyes. "Shh, it'll be okay. I will come home."

"Mm, but you're so...perfect," Luke murmured, kissing her back. "I'm so lucky to have you."

Cecilie whimpered and looked up at him. "And if you don't? Jack, I can't live without you."
