Kristyna looked over at him, then squeezing his hand back.

Luke kissed her head, then looked to her grandmother. "How are you feeling?" he asked softly.

Alana looked at him. "Um... Okay. It's not bad yet."

Luke nodded. "That's good. I'm glad."

Alana nodded. "Yeah," she said. "I'm a bit nervous, though."

Luke shook his head. "Don't be nervous. Everything will be okay, Alanna."

She nodded. "Of course," she said. "Thank you."

Luke nodded. "You're welcome. If you need anything, just ask, okay? Kris and I are both here for you." He knew that Alanna probably didn't like him, but he was still going to help her.

Alana nodded. "Thank you both," she said. Actually, Alana did like him, but she still wasn't completely over what happened when Kris had the asthma attack.
