Jack smiled. "I know," he said.

Cecilie smiled softly, her eyes reflecting the candles that glowed around them. "I'm glad I make that known."

Jack smiled. "So am I," he said.

Cecilie smiled and squeezed his hand gently.

Jack squeezed back, smiling brightly at her.

"So Jack...I've been thinking. We have JJ, and he's wonderful, but I can't help but think that maybe we should have another baby." Cecilie smiled. "We'd probably want to be married first, though."

Jack smiled. "I'd love to have another baby," he said. "It's up to you whether you want to be married first or not. I don't mind either way."

Cecilie smiled. "Actually, I'd like to be married first. So we can take our time if we need."

Jack nodded. "Okay," he said, and smiled at her. The waiter came with the food. One set a tray down in front of Cecilie, and while she was distracted, Jack got in front of her on one knee, holding out a ring. The waiter uncovered the tray to reveal, "Will you marry me?" in Jack's handwriting.

Cecilie looked up at the waiter and smiled. "Merci," she thanked him, then shifted to look at Jack again. When she saw him on one knee, she gasped, immediately knowing what was going on. She saw the message and turned in her chair to face him, her hand on her mouth as happy tears filled her eyes.
