❋ aubree mckaylin jenipher
paragraphThe brunette huffed wriggling away from the boy's body on the sofa and pulling her knees to her chest. He'd came in and plopped down on the sofa beside her nearly an hour earlier, and somehow over the course of it all she'd ended up facing him, criss crossed with her head leaning on his forearm that was stretched across the back of the sofa. They'd been talking normally for once. For once in her stay he'd stopped worrying about her so much and just talked. He didn't ask if she was thirsty or hungry or cold. They talked about a lot of things- she retold him her dreams and he listened with a smug smile sat on his lips as he listened even though he already knew. He told her about his life and what he did- about the fans and how everything started. He'd told her it all before but he happily told her again. She got to know him and he got to re-know her. It was a nice talk until he brought up the question she'd been dreading. "Are you going to stay?" Now here they are. "Harry," Her voice settled in a light murmur as she leaned her head against the leather cushion. "I think the best for me right now is to go back home." Aubree continued, eyes falling to her lap for a moment before returning to his gorgeous emerald eyes. "It's not because of you- I just don't... I don't want to jump too far into this and not be able to catch myself." Even in her time here with him- getting to know him and learn more about him, her worries never faded. She was still afraid to jump back into things full speed. There was so much they'd supposedly done in the last two and a half years- and she didn't want to jump into things seriously within a month of her memory loss. "That doesn't mean I don't want to try and make this better, and I hope you understand that." Hopefully he knew what she meant and where she was coming from. The last thing Aubree would want to do was upset him. "I just need time to figure things out."

paragraphHis forehead creased as she moved away, his arm sliding along the cold leather of the couch and retreating to his side, palm sinking into the cushion as he turned sideaways to face her. The tone in her voice made his insides uneasy. That tone wasn't anything new to him- not at all. She'd used it before when turning him down on joining them for the whole American tour. She'd always hated to be the bearer of bad news and he knew it. Harry knew Aubree didn't like to upset people just for the flip of it- and usually he'd keep his calm, but this time something inside him ticked. This wasn't Aubree- his girlfriend of two years and bestfriend for three. This was just Aubree; the stranger he'd been spilling his life to. "Why can't you wrap around your head the fact that I've been following you around for the past two damn weeks trying to make whatever this is supposed to be work? I put my life on hold to try and help you figure out your's and you're worried about not being able to catch yourself?" The confusion and anger and guilt had built up and swelled inside his chest- and this was the outcome. He couldn't help but feel angry. He'd tried everything and she didn't even seem to realize that. "I've tried real hard to be patient." He murmured, a heavy sigh passing through his lips, glancing away from the brunette in attempt to calm his racing mind. It wasn't working. "Maybe you don't know what it's like to loose the one you love the most- and that's what it feels like. If I'm the only one whose going to try then I don't even see a point in it." The Cheshire boy continued, cold emerald eyes meeting her hazel pair again. They'd welled, her colorless lips sat in a quiver as she held back her own bitter words. "It's f*cking useless, Aubree." With that, Harry'd pulled himself to his feet, moving his way down the hall, one last sentence slipping underneath angry breaths, "So whatever the hell you need to figure out can be done by yourself." The door slammed closed against the frame, mutters passing underneath his breath as he ran a hand through his disheveled curls. Harry was done.
