Trinity held up two fingers, grinning.

Maria frowned. "I've never done that," she said.

"Wow! That's big!" Jackson smiled.

"Maybe not that you've realized" Lucas said.

Trinity giggled, and nodded. "Yeah," she said. She was starting to warm up to him.

"When have I done that?" she asked.

Jackson smiled. "Tell mommy it's time for a sister." He teased.

Lucas sighed. "You like Jackson!" He yelled.

Jackson turned, looking at Lucas. "We're just friends. Chill!"

Trinity giggled, but stopped, and jumped into Jackson's lap when Lucas yelled. It always scared her when they fought, or yelled.

Maria sighed. "We really are just friends. Why are you getting so jealous? You were jealous of Millie, and she's not even the same species!" she said.

"She's a d*** dog, Maria. You shouldn't treat her like a human. You love the stupid thing more than me!" Lucas said. "You take better care of the dog than you do yourself!"

Jackson took Trinity out of the room. "You're okay."

Trinity clung to him. "They fight lots. Daddy goes away sometimes," she said.

Maria sighed. "She hadn't eaten for days! What was I supposed to do? Throw her some meat and act like she's nothing?" she asked. "Mom treats the dogs the same way. Do you see Dad getting mad at her? No," she said.

"Your dad used to fight with your mom, and leave her all the time! He let her treat those dogs like babies. How many times did Micah bite someone? A lot. Your mom thought he was a perfect angel. He was a stupid mutt!" He yelled. "Didn't your parents get a divorce as well?!" He pointed out. "And your dad is still abusive, isn't he?"

"Micah was protective of Mom because she was r**** right in front of him! That;s why he bit people! And my father's not abusive! He's a walk in the f****** park compared to Brett!" she yelled back. She wasn't hooked to IVs anymore, so she got up. "I want you out! It's over, Lucas! I don't have to take this from you. You don't know what the f*** my family had been through! You don't have the right to bad mouth them like this. GET OUT!" she screamed.

Lucas grabbed her in a choke hold. "It's not over, until I say it is." He said, pushing her up against the wall. "I will take Trinity from you." He said. "You think Brett was bad...well Brett 2.0 will be worse."
