"I don't think it's a cold. I think you have mono. I am going to need to do a blood test though." Mason said.

"Where did I get mono?!" she asked.

"You could get it anywhere. School, the store, the park, the pool...Lucas." Mason said. "Germs are everywhere." He said.

Maria shot a playful glare at Lucas. "Last time I kiss you after you go swimming," she teased.

"Last time I kiss you until you start taking care of yourself better." Lucas said,walking out of the room.

Maria sighed. "It's not like I tried to get sick," she murmured.

"Maria, you can't do anything for mono. You just are going to be on bedrest for a while." Mason said.

"Well, tell him that," she said. "He's gonna keep harping on me to take better care of myself."

"You could have gotten vaccines earlier to help prevent it." Mason said.
