Not many understand the comfort I get when I walk into a bookstore and take a deep breath as I look around. I feel at home; I feel welcome. I don't have to purchase anything. Being surrounded by books fills me with a sense of security.

Chloe sighed, heading back downstairs to make lunch for the kids and herself. She left ravioli on the stove to cook while she sat down and started dozing off. A while later the smoke alarm went off as the ravioli caught fire from being unattended for so long since Chloe had dozed off.
