He pulled out a little box. "This... I've ha it since the day you jumped... I was just so scared you'd say no. Every day I would go to ask you. But every day I promised myself I'd ask the next day. I never did, and now I regret it."
Maria packed an overnight back, and Vincent's bag. She came out. "I'm going to the hotel in town. I'm taking Vincent, we'll be back tomorrow."

Not many understand the comfort I get when I walk into a bookstore and take a deep breath as I look around. I feel at home; I feel welcome. I don't have to purchase anything. Being surrounded by books fills me with a sense of security.
